Ahnu Reviews
First reaction? What cute shoes! Second reaction? What comfortable cute shoes! I just spent 2 weeks wearing these shoes on a walking tour in Europe. They were delightfully comfortable from the very first day.
I really like these shoes. I ordered a 8 1/2 but they're a little loose. I'm hoping the 8's will fit better.
Ahnu did a nice job with this pretty shoe. It would be perfect with neutral shorts or capris or with a short khaki or pale blue skirt. It does not work with jeans for me. I normally wear an 8N in Naturalizer, Softspots and Munro and ordered a 7.5M here. It is very comfortable. There is room on all sides of the toes to stretch but the best part is that the shoe fits beautifully to a narrow heel and stays on. It is so flexible that one can stand on one's toes without difficulty and without the shoe coming off. It has a sueded quality and I would not wear it in wet grass.
Have probably put 15 - 20 miles on these so far, 10 of those on an AT day hike a couple of weekends ago. They seem to run big, and I kept them anyway, since I bought them for cooler weather and will wear thicker socks, but on an extended (about a mile) steep paved downhill to my car, my toes got a little banged up sliding and hitting the end of the shoe. I had no problems on the hilly parts of the trail though. I was comfortable crossing over slippery rocks. These boots are amazingly lightweight, they may be lighter than my trail running shoes. They are both flexible and supportive. Very comfortable. So far, I am happy with them.
These are great shoes. They look terrific and you can walk in them over cobbled stones in Italy for days without pain. The only problem: if your feet swell on long airplane flights, you may need to wait a couple of days to wear these shoes because of the top straps; otherwise, wonderful shoes.
I normally wear a size 8-8.5 in Teva, Keen, and Merrell. Dansko varies between a 38 and 39 Narrow. I read the advice of the other reviewers and ordered a size 7.5 and they are perfect. My feet are on the normal to narrow width side. The smaller size is fine for wearing these shoes without socks, not too tight or too loose.
These shoes looks just as great on my feet as in the online photos. There is also plenty of heel support, for shock absorption. If you do not need a whole lot of arch support, these might well be a great pair of shoes (unfortunately, I need much more and had to send these back). I marked them being half a size too small because they feel slightly small with socks on. However, if you do not usually wear shoes with socks or wear very thin socks, then they would probably be sized just right.
First time use of Ahnu shoes. Very comfortable. Received several compliments while wearing them. Very cute and affordable. Highly recommend these shoes.
I have short wide feet and yet these had all the comfort I was looking combined with a very cute style. What more could you ask for?
I got a pair of Ahnu shoes in Denver last year on vacation. They were so comfortable. Was so glad to find them at Zappos. They fit perfect and can be dressed up or down. Great shoe!
I usually wear a N, but tried this shoe anyway in a B because I liked the style with the closed back. The toe box is a little big with a minimum amount of gapping. I can slip my finger in above my toes and run my finger all the way across so that gives you some idea of how much extra space is there if you wear a N and still get this shoe. The shoe is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
Comfortable, stylish, light - you don't feel them on your legs, and mine hurt sometimes! You won't regret!
I bought these for my husband who works a carpenter, on his feet all day. They are the best feeling, best fitting shoes he's ever worn.
I really wanted to like this shoe. I got the neutral tan-ish color. It was pretty blah with my skin tone, and the shoe did nothing for me in terms of style. It was comfortable, though my big toe did touch up against the end of the toe box. I bought them hoping to take with me to London in 2 weeks, but they were just kind of blah. Back they go. I normally wear a size 8. I got these in an 8 1/2. They fit overall fairly well in that size, except for the toe issue on my left foot.
Most comfortable hiking boot I've found, ever. (tho my hiking might be considered moderate). I can walk in these all day (boulder fields, steep paths, mud, hot to 50 degrees or so, some frozen snow) and my feet feel great; dry, comfortable, ready for more. Excellent fit for me. My feet run a little wide through ball of foot and i have a high arch. No discomfort whatsoever. I did half size-up to accommodate hiking socks. Lightweight but very durable. Great ankle support without stiffness. i don't feel like i've carried an extra 5 pounds around on my feet all day. I hiked in these many many times and no real sign of wear yet, other than puppy chewing off the tab in back - so used that as an excuse to get a second pair in another color. The colors are ok, but the comfort is well worth it - so rated overall 5 stars.
Love these sandals! The straps are thin enough to be feminine, with an ultra-comfortable footbed. The front and back adjustable ankle straps allow for your heel to land exactly where you want it. Couldn't be happier!
These shoes are awesome. They were comfortable with the first wear, and they're a little more stylish then tennis shoes. I plan to wear them on my trip to France.
This is a good looking shoe and seems to have good support. It is wide enough for most feet but a bit narrow for mine. I may order a larger size to see if I can get just a little more width. This shoe adjusts on top and in back.
These lovely shoes hurt my feet. I love these shoes and they are so cute, but they really hurt my feet. I should say that I have big feet, size 10, and also wide. I usually take a 10 and in these I ordered a 9½ after reading other reviews and they did seem to fit well, at first. They are a great length my toes are not too cramped at all, actually a bit of room still in the toe, but then I wore them to work. Ouchie, never mind walking home in them, no way, I got a ride. (I should say I was on my feet for eight hours in them. They really hurt the inner and outer sides of my feet at the metatarsal phalangeal joints. So a word to anyone with wider feet, these shoes may not be the most comfortable shoes out there.

The name Ahnu is derived from Celtic mythology, from the goddess of balance and well-being. The deity could accurately be described as an ancient version of "Mother
