Aster Kids Reviews
Gorgeous boot! Unfortunately it hit my daughter in an uncomfortable spot right below her knee. I wish they made this in adult sizes!

These shoes are very cute, and I bought them because the rubber sole wraps up over the top of the front toes to avoid scraping the leather, but I had to send them back after 3 weeks. The stitching along the loop closure acted like perforations, and the leather ripped. Don't know if it was a fluke or a design flaw. I bought the Jenna boots instead. Love them.
Very cute shoe, but ran significantly smaller than another style from this same brand in the same size.
These were way too big, even though my daughter usually wears this size! And, the velcro strap was simply much too long. Not a great value for the money spent.
I bought these for my 5 year old daughter who absolutely hates velcro. She loves them (and she better, as she has to wear them to school every day). No complaining about having to break them in, they were perfect right out of the box! And they're so cute, too!
Not a fan. I bought these in red because my daughters have had these for years, but the quality of Aster has really gone down. I don't think they are made in France anymore and really, the quality is not much better than something you'd buy at a big-box discount store. I didn't like the red color, or the new buckle style. I've moved to Footmates, which I like a bit better and are a little less expensive. Also, the Elephantito brand is very nice.
I was disappointed with the quality of these shoes. Although this is a French brand, they are probably not made in France anymore. The leather is very stiff and feels like cardboard. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, these shoes get scuffed very easily and look worn out after the first day. I had to polish these shoes very often in the four months they were worn. This is also the first pair I bought that gave a blister. The style is classic and the shoes are solid but they are definitely not worth the price.
So cute! Goes with everything! My daughter love them. They do seem to run a little big for size, however the velcrow strap does a great job pf keeping them on ger feet without any slippage. We have plenty of growing room and can hopefully wear these for more than one season. The only partial negative to them is that they lose their "new" look pretty quickly as the leather has a natural worn look to it. These are however very well crafted and have so far been extremely durable.
I like Aster and to date bought only patent ones. This time I bougth the red leather and in the first wear as my daughter sits down most times at school, the front of the shoe started to loose color. It started to look like a really old shoe with one wear. I didn't have that experience in patent ones. So I really want my money back. This shoe is not a low price brand.
These are so well made. The fit is really great but may be slightly on the bigger side. So go gently when ordering sizes. Also, visually it looks as if the toe goes up, but this is an illusion due to the rubber on the toe, which I would recommend as it makes the shoes last a lot longer!
Disappointed. These do not have a perforated flower on the toe like other, classic Aster shoes. They are not made in France anymore and are definitely not the same quality that I've come to expect from Aster. I'm not a fan of the velcro either. These are going back. So sad. I'm going to try the Dingo style again, but they don't seem to come in brown anymore. I guess I'll try the Footmates shoe. Aster was always my favorite go-to classic shoe, but I think that's changing.

These shoes looked so cute in the picture, but for the price the quality just wasn't good enough. I'm returning them.
Very cute little shoe. My daughters both find it comfortable. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it runs large. I ordered a size down and the fit is good.
I paid a lot for these shoes for a kid, so I expected them to be perfect. The toes scuffed within one wearing, and they looked very worn out by two or three wearings. I am not thrilled with them considering how much I spent.
I love Aster shoes, but these are not made well. They formed strings all over the shoes. At the buckle the leather started to peel off right away. I returned the first pair and Zappos wonderfully replaced them. However, I have to return them again because they are falling apart and my daughter has not even worn them yet. I will pick out a new pair of Asters for her. These were very disappointing.
I am 25 but can never find shoes in women's sizes. I am so impressed with the quality of these shoes at such a great price. The leather is very soft and supple yet seem like will last a long time and wear nicely. They are definitely one size too big! The bronze goes with everything and looks great on my tan skin. The reason I am not keeping them is because the toe area is too wide and round looking. I don't think that will change even if I size down 1 or 1.5 sizes. I even thought about taking them to the local boot repair shop to see if they can recut/shape the toe to look more feminine.
Super cute sandal; very stylish and classic at the same time. Problem is they run a whole size too large so we are sending back and sizing down one size. Hopefully these will work.
I ordered these for my 10 year old, who adores them! She wears them all the time and finds them very comfortable. The silver is beautiful -- the detail on the strap is lovely -- more delicate than the photo seems. A gorgeous shoe that's perfect for spring and summer.

I thought I must be losing my mind spending this much on a toddler shoe but after having such a difficult time finding a good fit at children's shoe stores and watching her trip so often, I decided to try it. After all, Zappos' returns are easy. It is so cute and simple. Classic.
