The first pair, in my normal size were flopping all around and were too big - so I returned and ordered a size smaller - - my toes hit the top of the slipper.... I had to return completely.... I wanted to love them, but, they didn't love me.

I don't even know how to write this review as the shoe was so small I couldn't even fit into it. I ordered a size 15 which came through as a European size 48. On Uggs, for instance, their 15 is a 49.5. Anyway, the slipper was I would guess 2 sizes smaller than marked.

I wear these pretty much all day as I work out of my house, so they've been getting tons of use. I normally wear a 39, but I ordered a 40 and they fit perfectly. The arch support is definitely more than I expected in a slipper, but these straddle the line between slipper and shoe so it makes sense and is comfortable. I think I've just found my new slipper line for life.

The arch support is pretty good though I had hoped it would be a little bit better. The insoles are removal so if you wanted to put in your own custom orthotics, you can. They are actually quite warm and sometimes my feet get kind of sweaty, so I need to take them off and switch to another pair of slippers or flip-flops. I like the fact that they have a closed heel. I tried another style of Giesswein slippers but because of the open back, I could not get a proper fit.

I wanted to like these, but they are ridiculously big and floppy. It is very thin boiled wool, so there's no structure - it's almost like wearing a heavy sock. Aside from the fact that they were too wide, I wanted more substance to my slipper.

I literally read all the reviews twice to figure out what size I'd be in these slippers. I ordered a size 7 and they fit perfectly. For reference, I wear a 7.5 in most casual shoes, 8 or 8.5 in running shoes and boots. They're comfortable, but I wouldn't say 'amazing' like others have said. There's a little too much arch support for me, but I needed more than nothing. I like the style and would wear these with skinny jeans out if these weren't house slippers.

I really think I would like these, but they're at least a size too small. I usually wear size 13. I got the 46 and my toes hit the front of these.

I love the Giesswein Veitsch. The Giesswein Acadia not so much. The Veitsch has fantastic molded in sole, the Acadia has A felt insole. The Veitsch costs more and is worth every euro.

Can't say enough good things about Giesswein Veitsch. Warm, comfy, supportive, nonslip, dry, ventilated, happy feet.

Bought two pair if these for my husband and son and they rave about the comfort. They started out as slippers have turned into street wear. Great shoe

Comfortable, casual, and good quality. A nice pair of slippers that can be worn out of the house (visit friends/family and run errands around town) without looking unkept. These slippers have been put to the test and travelled more snow and dirt that any "house" slipper ever should but have held up very well. Most importantly they have a supportive sole and arch- which help to keep knee pain at bay.

These are great shoes for mulling about inside (chores, etc.) especially if you have hardwood floors. My feet are wide and I have high arches and they provide plenty of room and support. My only quibble is that the insert could be a bit softer.

I'm bummed that I have to return these . They truly gorgeous slippers but could not get the sizing or fit to work for me. I tried a size 10 which is my normal sizing for this but my ankles were coming out of the shoe. I ordered a size down which I thought would resolve the issue but it was more like a flip flop. I was concerned that I might trip so sadly, I need to return these.

Moderately comfortable. I don't care for the hard sole.

Not as comfortable as I expected. I think it was the hard sole that made the difference.

I ordered these for my partner, and we had to return to order a smaller size. However it still feels at least a half size too large. That mirrors my experience with Giessweins as well; they stretch. They are well made, and I believe they will stand the test of time well. I bought her a pair because I liked the quality of the product, but the stretching after purchase is an issue to consider.

Love, love, love these shoes/slippers....since I consider them both slippers but also shoes you can wear ourside. I have plantar fasciitis and really needed a slipper that would give me great support. This shoe is wonderful!

Would have been just what I wanted and as advertised but at least a full size too small.

WARNING: Keep an extra pair of shoes in your car because you will forget to take these off when you leave the house. I regularly find myself wearing them in the grocery store, in the carpool line, etc. The arch support and wide footbed are fabulous, and no slipping up and down my heel which happens with many shoes.

These are the best slippers I've owned in a while. Very comfortable, nice arch support and a soft wool fabric provides just the right amount of warmth without causing your feet to sweat. Not sure about the long-term durability yet given I just bought them 3 weeks ago, but I'm pretty sure they will be fine. Removable footbed should help them last for years.
