Decent shoe but a bit too still with the added support that this model is known for...just didn't feel right

Love Newton Running...converter almost 2 years ago and can no longer run with any other brand of shoes. Super lightweight, raced a half marathon and marathon and PRed both thanks to the Newton Distance Elite. the 4 lug has great response and stability.

In the past, I purchased Newton "Gravity IV" in a women's size 10.5 This "Aha II NYC 16" fit the same as my Gravity's. Nice neutral shoe with a roomy toe box for my "D" width feet. Very happy with this purchase!

I'm on my 10th(ish) pair of Newton Gravity, going from version IV, V, and this pair of VI. I run about 35-40 miles per week and this is the first pair that fit differently from the rest. I would rate all other pairs a 5. The tongue is thicker and much stiffer than the other versions, making it push into my ankle and hurts. I ended up running about 3-4 miles in them to see if it would loosen, but no luck. I love Newton's, but don't recommend these. Customer service, on the other hand - 5 star.

This is my fifth pair of Newtons and I have to say that my body feels so much better running and dancing in them. They support is great. This shoe is great, but runs about 1/2 to 1 full size smaller than any of my other Newtons.

These are very comfortable shoes. I use them as every day and running shoes. They work very well for running and are still comfortable after a full day of wearing them.

Great shoe, great support during run and walk. I am new to Fates, but I think this might be my new favorite running shoe! Had to order half size bigger since they run a bit small. Thank you!

These run very small. This is my 4th pair of Newton Kismets. My first pair was an 8.5. My 2nd and 3rd pairs were 9's. This new model runs even smaller. I think I need a 10 to have more room, which is crazy. I do not care for model update. disappointed.

These are running smaller comparing to my newton running gravity. Will have to try half size bigger and see if it does the trick! Thank you zappos!

I've been wearing the Distance Elite for about 5 years and purchased about 6 pairs when they were in the pink color since I was afraid of how each new style would fit...as the last few styles didn't work so well. Well this style fits just as awesome! I run without socks and these are perfect since they have the same mesh as the older version. The size seems to be about a half size larger. I always wore a 9 for running but this new version I went down to an 8.5. Wish there were more colors choices though. I run every distance up through Ironman and these have been great.

Cute shoes, not enough support for my special needs.

I CONFIRMED WITH NEWTON FLAGSHIP STORE IN BOULDER, CO THAT THE KISMET II IS RUNNING SMALL BY A FULL TO HALF SIZE!! I have the Kismet I and blindly ordered the same size without reading the previous review. Newton Running here in Boulder, CO confirmed that I should try on locally first if I want to buy online. I love Newton running shoes and my Kismet I. Apart from the initial fit of the Kismet II, I expect the technical aspects of the Kismet II to be consistent. I wanted to post this review before I try on locally to prevent anyone from ordering the same size as their Kismet I and will update my new size based on my 11.5 from the Kismet I to give a frame of reference.

Newton shoes are excellent for running and for general gym workouts - especially cross-training. They are very lightweight and comfortable. I actually prefer them over Brooks running shoes because they are so lightweight. I only have one complaint - the colors for men are a little strange. More neutral options would be great. Otherwise, a really great shoe.

This is my 4th pair of Kismet's, which is my favorite running shoe. I'm a little disappointed in the new fit. It runs smaller, even though the length is the same. The additional padding and the change of the toe box seems to be causing it. I am going to try a 1/2 size up and hope my issue with this update goes away. The problem is, the toe box is narrower and the outside of my foot below the pinky toe protrudes out through the mesh. It's not protruding my bunion area, just my outside area. The main issue, though is the white striping detail across the top. They moved it to the center more now so it rubs the whole length of my big toe while walking. As any runner knows, this is a "no no" unless you want a black toenail that will eventually fall off ð???ð???. Fingers crossed the next size up works as the initial try on was a dream with all the new padding.

Ended up returning them. Bought them in the same size as my old Kismet I, and they ended up being way too tight in the front...

A good shoe and comfortable when running. However, the shoe definitely feels a 1/2 size smaller than what it is labeled as.

These shoes are amazing. The force you to run correctly. I was getting horrible shin splints and a lot of soreness in my quads. With these shoes I do not get any shin splints and hardly get sore which makes me think I was running totally wrong. Light weight and comfortable. Definitely recommend giving them a try. I ordered them a half size up from my typical shoe size. Most runners get shoes a half size bigger or full size bigger - this is a matter of preference.

It takes little time to adjust but is great for 5Ks and track workout. I even ran a half marathon with it and felt good. My calves felt it and perhaps were not best for long distance running but I love them. Feels in between bare foot running and cushioning.

Great comfortable shoe. But note that this is above all not built for a daily training, as it trades off support for performance.

The color "rubine" is actually a shocking pink. This shoe runs very short so I am forced to return. I think it would be very comfortable if not for the length.
