Amazing boot. After trying many tactical boots, this one was the best. Great fit, good traction and for the price it's a plus having the Goretex membrane for waterproofing.

This wasn't my first purchase from Zappos but I'm always amazed just how fast your shipping is. I ordered these on Wed. morning and got them on Thursday afternoon. I call that one heck of a good free delivery service. You guys are great. As for the boots? I've had Bates boots in the past so I already knew what to expect from them. These things are perfect for my job (bar-tending) since i have to stand for many 10-12 hour shifts, sometimes doing some light speed walking. The 8' support helps and I love having side zippers because having to loosen and tighten the laces each time i take them off or put them on would get old quickly. The fit and support seem overall perfect for my needs. Once again, great job and thank you Zappos for having so many outstanding brands of footwear and definitely the best free delivery service I've ever seen. You will absolutely be getting future business from me, a very satisfied customer.

I have been very pleased with this shoe so far, they are very comfortable...even with my orthotics. They are easy on and off with the side zip. I wear them on the range and work in them, I haven't had them but a few months and they are showing some wear, my concern is will they hold up (I really work them)...time will tell.

This shoe is the best work shoe I ever owned. No slip, and is very well built. I wish it was avail. in a 5E but the 4E is good, a little tight but great shoe.

I was excited to finally find a pair of shoes that are light and flexible, but with the look of a work shoe. However, these shoes are cheaply constructed, and I mean that in the worst possible way. The sole is ultrathin and made from cheap rubber. Part of the sole is actually hard foam. After wearing these on the job for 5 days, there is noticeable wear, especially where the foam is. I don't expect to get two months from these shoes. That would be fine if they were priced accordingly, in the $45-$60 range, but at this price these shoes are a joke and a poor value. It's a shame, because Bates has a good idea with this style, but like most other companies they are trying to offer as little as possible for as much as they can get. That's not a recipe for success. This was my first and last pair of their shoes.

These shoes were great, for the first couple weeks. However, the coushioning compressed quickly and became very uncomfortable. Durability was very disappointing for a service shoe. Soft rubber soles wore out quickly, stitching fraid, and uppers started to come apart after only a couple of weeks. Granted, I'm a delivery person who is on the go all the time, but I have had shoes that cost half as much, last twice as long.

Was looking to pick up another pair of similarly styled Red Wings after wearing out my third set and was dismayed to find that Zappos no longer sold them. These were recommended in their stead, though they were considerably more expensive. Overall, they're very well made boots with no visible flaws of any kind. Comfort-wise, they leave a bit to be desired. There's very little in the way of shock absorption and the arches are a bit low. The blue "ICS" disc appears to be little more than a gimmick -- I noticed no difference in feel in any position. Better insoles helped quite a bit, but I'd still take Red Wings over these.

These boots were comfortable the first day I wore them which is 10-12 Hours a day. Have been buying this boot for about 3 years and they just keep making them better.

The ultimate in a duty boot. Comfortable to wear all day. Wide aggressive footprint provides a solid footing on any surface. I would recommended these to any EMS, law enforcement personnel.

I bought these for my husband. He says they are the best fitting most comfortable boots he has ever worn! Great ankle support, cushioned bottom, room for toes to move. Great purchase for anyone who does a lot of work outside.

Brought these boots for my husband who works in Law Enforcement. He loves them, very comfy looks heavy but are very light. The boots also provides great ankle support.

Another great buy from Zappos! An excellent boot whether you're in law enforcement or not. Surprisingly light for a steel toe boot, great ankle support, extremely comfortable, easy on/off with the side zipper. Great tread on bottom too. Highly recommended!

Depends what you are expecting from these. If you want to wear them everyday and give them a little beating, they'll last about 4 or 5 months. If you're using these for special occasions then they are fine. Great shine

On my feet all day at work, these perform very well, very comfortable. Look good also. The inside adjust is very unique and useful to customize the fit to each individual foot postion when walking.

It was our first time dealing with Zappos, and we were very impressed with the service! We will definitely order through Zappos again in the future!

I am female and wear a size W shoe or boot, which isn't easy to find.I also have foot problems. I often buy men's shoes or boots, especially for work. I work outside and wanted a boot for spring/fall weather that is comfortable. These are very comfortable, the only problem I had was the padding around the ankle rubbed on my leg and was uncomfortable. Not sure what I will do about that. I also like that these didn't have too much arch support, which I can't handle. Except for the ankle part, they are very comfortable.

I'm very tough on shoes, usually burn through a pair in less than a year. But for the past 2 years, I've worn a pair of these Bates E02366 Delta-6 Gore-Tex Side Zip Boots. They are comfortable, flexible, provide superb ankle support and foot protection, cool in summer, warm enough and dry in winter. I use Nikwax aqueous wax to keep 'em shiny, cause Nikwax is OK for both Leather and Goretex. I wear these as my every day shoe, walking about 2 miles daily during my commute to work, and also wearing them while in the lab and office. I've also worn them hiking in Europe and the US. I've run a 5K in these, climbed up an icy slope, and worn them for 16 hour stretches with good comfort. They are waterproof, breathable, have a nonslip sole. If you have them sized correctly, they require a bit of a tug to put on but slide right off. The side-zip feature is awesome. I adjust the laces to get exactly the fit I want, then leave the laces tied, I retie them about once a month when they get slightly loose. I can run in these boots, walk through deep Chicago slush while keeping my feet warm and dry. After 2 years of near-constant wear, I am now buying an identical replacement pair because the heel of the outsole is almost worn down. Otherwise the rest of the shoe has held up very well. Best shoe I've owned.

As always, Zappos' service is remarkable. The shoes fit well initially, though I have not yet worn them over an extended period (like all day). I last bought a pair of Bates high gloss uniform oxford shoes when I was active duty military 17 years ago. The quality of the shoes does not seem to be the same - these shoes seem lighter and not as sturdy as I remember them being. I suspect these shoes won't last as long as previous pairs of Bates I've had, but I won't know that till later. Bates offers a more expensive shoe - maybe these are the shoes I seem to remember.

These are quality shoes. They are serving their purpose! True to size. I love 'em. Highly recommended.
