Bloch Reviews
I was disappointed in this shoe. The fabric was very nice - nicer than I expected - but the shoe overall felt flimsy and the color (chartreuse) was less vibrant than I was hoping.
I absolutely love these shoes for zumba! They are perfect for zumba on carpeted floors because you are able to turn so smoothly without torquing your knees, yet they are grippy enough for hard surfaces too. Unfortunately I had to return mine twice because the size was so far off from my normal size. I ended up with 10 and I normally wear 8½-9.
I received this shoes a couple of weeks ago and love them! I had injured my knee doing zumba last year, had bought the Nike Misique IV and they were okay, then both knees started bothering me while doing zumba, these have relieved the pain in my knees! They help you move so easily while doing Zumba, I tend to slide my feet on the floor while doing the dances and these really move nicely with you.
These shoes are really comfortable and the leather is high quality -- it's not stiff, so it won't dig into your feet. I did, however, go up half a size. The pink is a really fun color that makes an everyday outfit much more interesting...works great with navy.
I really loved how soft and pretty these looked on my feet...until I stood up. They were just a little too tight for me so they will have to go back. I wish they had a half size bigger for me.
Whoa Nelly! I found this shoe to run 2 sizes small! I ordered a half size bigger, but actually needed 2 sizes bigger. I had several students (I teach Zumba also) and found that the only person it fit was someone a 6.5 (I ordered an 8.5). Sending them back.
I am conflicted about these shoes. I bought a pair and wore them twice and a large patch of leather on the side came off when someone lightly brushed up against me. Looking at the construction of the shoes the way in which the top leather was adhered to the sole looked sloppy. I got a replacement pair, and the L is wearing different from the R (the left shoe leather on the toe area has softened up a lot and is creasing a lot, but the right shoe is still very smooth). Either type of wearing is fine with me - I just wish it was the same on both shoes (and the uneven wearing is making them fit a bit differently on the feet which drives me a bit crazy). I do like the style and simplicity of the shoe - nice and simple classy flats that do not make your feet look huge. I ordered a smaller size as other posters suggested.
These are such nice feeling shoes! They are basic ballet shoes, with just enough to cover the foot. Soft, almost buttery leather that is not thin either. This is a size 5½ and my shoe size is a women's 8.
The back and side of my feet blistered after wearing it for 2 hours walking on the city streets. These flats are good looking only.

Have bought 3 different styles of Bloch shoes in the past several months. They are comfortable, good looking & have a wide range of prices depending upon the type of shoe...will definitely buy more of this manufacturer...must remember to buy a full size larger than you normally wear.
Awesome! I can't tell you how amazing these shoes are on a carpeted floor for Zumba...the sole is sheer perfection...no slipping just a gentle glide and no resistance to the knees or hips. The sizing was good...I am a 10 and I purchased a 10 and loosened up the laces to accommodate my arch. Never even knew I had them on from the first wear...and the colors pop...everyone notices them and comments...these are my 2nd pair of Blochs for Zumba...and will not be my last. Thank you Bloch for getting it right. Will be in my luggage for the Zumba convention in August in Orlando...where there will be fully carpeted floors for all classes! Forget those "slides" that they recommend. Get these shoes and go out there and do Zumba!
Cute little flat - but what's with the sizing? I heeded warnings about ordering up. I wear a 9 but purchased a 10 and a 10.5. The 10 was so small - my feet were squished. Imagine my surprise when I tried the 10.5's and they were over a size too big! No sizing standard here. Good luck to any shoppers out there buying this shoe. I am rating this shoe low because of the sizing issues.
I sized up a full size and could probably go up again a half-size. The shoes are a lovely style, and they make your foot look so elegant -- and the toe box is narrow. I've been wearing mine 3 months now and there are several issues. First, yes, the leather is soft and lovely. And it's on your feet. Because of the constant motion the toes started distorting. I hate when you can see toe outlines because the leather is too thin, and that is the case with these. The leather at the toe has pulled here and there and now doesn't look smooth at all, which makes the shoes look cheap and old. Another thing -- what's with that weird pillow at the heel? At first I thought it was comfortable, but if you walk a mile in the city, it really hurts. If these shoes still looked similar to when I bought them, I'd get several more pairs. But that's not the case, and they are pretty pricey. Maybe the style with the toe cap would keep its original appearance better.
I have narrow feet, high arch, and moderate neuromas in both feet. I have a difficult time finding narrow shoes with enough cushion and support. These run narrow enough for me and have all the cushion I need, plus just enough space in the toe to fit additional cushion for dancing. The wrap strap makes it quite secure. I am experimenting with arch support ideas, though, because that helps divert pressure from my neuromas. I wear a 7.5 or 8. Based on reviews, I would have ordered 8.5, but only 8 was in stock and they are perfect. I will say my dance instructor is not impressed with Bloch in general, but I am really happy with these shoes so far.
These shoes are amazing! I bought them for Zumba, to trade off with my Bloch jazz shoes and at first I didn't like them quite as well but now they're my favorites. I'm going to get them in two more colors! Still need to go up a whole size for a good fit though.
These are great quality shoes that are very comfortable and soft except for the heel area. I'm glad I read the review and got them half size larger than what I usually wear. I wore them several times with heelies and without and every time I had a new blister on the ankle. They take a while to soften up at the back of the shoe, otherwise very pleased with the Blochs.
For 3 months I read review after review for the best zumba shoes until I finally found the winner: "Bloch Lightening." Yes, it is a little tricky to get used to the slippery sole especially on wood floors but they are providing my knees and ankles a wonderful brake - plus my technique has gotten so much better. I do zumba at least 5 days a week for 45 minutes each and loved them. I have wide feet and countless foot surgeries. I am a size 8 in sport shoes and ordered size 9.5, perfect! About Zappos, only two words: the best!
I loved these flats, but had to return them because they were too small. I wear size 10.5. I bought an 11, but it didn't fit.
They are great for zumba! They easily slide on the floor. I had to buy a half a size bigger.

Bloch´s philosophy of listening to dancers is still as strong today as it was when Jacob Bloch made his first pair of pointe shoes in 1932. Bloch arrived from Europe in 1931 at the height of the Great Depression and began making shoes by hand in the workshop where he lived.
