Burton Reviews
Good quality but has a little tearing on the logo word, which I need to do extra stitch up. Overall, good quality product.
Nice backpack; love the design, but the space needed was not enough. The thing I liked most about it was the computer compartment in the main compartment.
The bag is sick! Sick in a good way! I can't say enough good things about this bag. If you want an awesome bag and you want people to stop you and ask where you got it... get it!
These pants are styling. They are very skinny though. You can't wear much under them because they are tight.
Bought these in what purported to be an XS, but they were still huge. My return was no hassle, however. Thanks Zappos!
I bought this board after taking the 157 version on a demo from my local board shop...I am an 190lb. intermediate level boarder and tend to spend most of my time just cruising the mountain. This board is great! It has a lot of flex and floats nicely in the powder, but also holds its edge on the icier days. I have even hit a few jumps and it handles it all...I coupled it with the Burton Mission EST bindings and it is a great setup.
I wanted to love this pant because finally someone makes a small enough pant for me, in xxs. However, right above the knee is a seam which was very tight even just standing. When bending it was way too tight and I sent them back. I next tried the Honey Buns pant, also by Shaun White, and they absolutely rock. Perfect fit, sexy low rise, and no tight knee area. My review is over there.
Finally! A snowboard pant that actually fits! I looked high and low for riding pants to fit a small woman, 5'5, 110lbs. I purchased these in the siren color in xxs and I love them so much that I'm ordering the true black, as well. These pants are sexy and fit beautifully. But, if you don't like a low rise pant, avoid these. I tried Shaun's Candy Pant first, but right above the knee was too tight. The Honey Buns are awesome!! Perfect perfect fit!
Great fit except the attached hood. Makes the neck way too tight to zip up to the top. Loved all the pockets and the coat in general though. 3 for comfort just for the hood issue. Otherwise a great coat.
My new favorite Hoodie! Everything about it is perfect. Couldn't be more satisfied with the fabric, fit, & style. I'm 5'9 and the medium fits me great. Love.
I ordered these in the rum raisin. I love the color but they run big, and sadly, no medium in stock so back they go. Too bad they are a great fabric, color and style.
This pack is great. It holds all my stuff including my laptop which is protected in the padded area. It even came in handy when I went snowboarding when I mounted my board to the pack. The bag does not come with a Sunglasses/MP3 pocket like it says in the description. After several emails to Burton, it was determined by them that it was an error.
I was choosing between this jacket and a north face triclimate for skiing. This jacket wasn't as warm (without the extra fleece layer), but it has everything else that you could want and more. It fit true to size and I can fit some layers underneath, too. Good length and the nocturnal color is nice. Very happy with all of the inside and outside pockets, the skirt is awesome and I love that I can remove the fur.
I've had my wheelie double deck for 2 years, and I am in love! I travel a lot for work and its been through hell and back...and has never done me wrong! Another great feature that they don't talk about is the lifetime guaranty! If you looking for a perfect sized luggage piece that will last you a life time, look no further!
Wow, this sucker keeps you warm. Like the long sleeves and body length. Great shirt. Not sure it will keep me not smelly (promised to), but will test that later.
I love the fit of these -- great for snowboarding. I tried several other pairs first that all had too much of a flair. These are stylish, while still comfortable. Note, they are not very insulated, so you will need a heavy pair of long underwear or two.
Bottom line: I would do a little research to make sure Burton's Speed Lacing has improved since earlier models. One of my laces has broken 3 times over the span of 2 years. This last one really got me fired up. You've been working long hours all winter... and it's 2011/12 winter in SLC so you've seen less good days of riding than you can count on one hand and 2 of those were in October. You finally get a day off from work and its dumped 10 in of 6% density snow o/n and its not slowing down. Another buddy has also gotten the day off and you've both are stoked that mother nature has finally produced and, then.... your boots speed zone breaks and ruins your day and probably your week. You spend the rest of the morning sitting around dejected watching the snow fall outside the window of your home as your friend is out riding the fresh delivery of pow. You will have to go into the shop and pay for Burton's proprietary re-lacing tools and wait for a day or two as the tech tediously tries to thread a new lace back through the boot. This could happen to you! Think about other speed zone lacing systems. I know that Salomon's has a better reputation.
I just bought this coat and I love it! The design is even brighter in person. It is very warm and comfortable, it has zippers under your arms so you can cool down without taking off the coat and there are a million pockets! It is one of the best coats I have ever owned.
So far, I've only ridden these once, so I can't speak to their longevity but I can speak to my initial impressions. Just so you know where I am coming from, I am no park kiddie. I'm 45 years old and am built like a Clydesdale. I suppose I would be classified as an "expert" rider, but I consider myself more as an advance intermediate. I have two main riding styles. Lots and lots of turns in the bumps and ungroomed. Like a bat out of hell on the steepest, twistiest groomers I can find. I love these bindings! They're light. They're not Burton Diode light expensive), or X-base light (likely to break if you look at them sternly). But they are quite light given what appears to be some pretty beefy construction. They are pretty stiff but have some flex which is just what I wanted. They pair great with my Burton Custom X board and Ion boots, which are also at the stiffer end of the scale. The combination gives lightning quick response and superior carving ability in typical NE conditions (boilerplate). The straps are incredibly easy to use. The ratchets work smoothly and grip really well. I noticed hardly any slippage. The new toe cap design grips my boots much better than my last pair of Burtons (which worked well, but not nearly as well as these). I love the EST design/footbeds. I can really feel the board flex under my feet. The highbacks on these bindings are...well...high. They are probably 3" higher than my last set of bindings. The extra height gives some nice mechanical advantage for cranking in that heel edge around a high speed turn. The so called FLAD adjustment (Forward Lean Assistance Device) works well to force the highbacks forward to your liking and comfort. Since they are tool-less they can be adjusted on the slope although it does take a fair amount of strength and may require unstrapping in order to get the proper leverage. The biggest knock I can give these bindings is that the style is incredibly boring. But I think that's just what you get with Burton's higher end offerings. One word of caution, if you are not familiar with the EST line: They only work with Burton boards with the Channel System. If you are planning to rock one of those, look elsewhere.
