Chicago Skates

I bought two pairs of skates, one pair for my 10 year old son and a pair for my 9 year old daughter. The sizes were close to actual size and they fit perfect. The quality of the skate is great. You can't beat the price because when they grow out of them in 6 months I can replace them. They use them indoors only so I don't know how they would wear with outdoor use. Overall, great skate for a 9-10 year old.

Zappos is so awesome. I ordered my daugthers skates, and I was expecting them to come in about week or two, but we got them in two days, with just regular shipping. I love Zappos and I tell all my friends about Zappos.

I ordered two pair of skates for the holiday and they are awesome. Customer service was great so I told my whole family if they were to order anything, order from zappos.com and that they have great quality stuff! Zappos rocks.

I am 56 years old and decided to try skating again. These are great skates to start over. They are comfortable but do run a size larger so order a size smaller than your normal shoe size. I feel like a kid again and am happy that I bought these skates.

The roller skates were purchased for a theatre production. They were very true-to-size and work excellent for our purpose.

I bought these skates when I started going to the rink a few times a year. I' am a women's 7½ shoe, and I bought the men's 5. I used them straight out of the box and they totally met my needs, no problem. However, when I tried to use them outside I found that doing so was extremely difficult on the old asphalt. These are probably the only skates that you will find at this price that come with nice aluminum plates, double action trucks or a leather boot. I like the extra ankle support of the high boot, but if I decided to go the derby route, I could switch out to a speed boot. These are a good value!

These are perfect! I got them yesterday and have already been out and about (and around the house)I wear a size 8 and after reading the reviews ordered a size 7 and they fit great! So I agree with the notion that they run big! I'm so happy!

Holy Roller Skates, Batman! As soon as I heard the UPS truck pulling up (which, by the way, was less than 24 hours after ordering), I ran out, grabbed the box and took my skates for a spin. I'm excited to get a lot of use out of these skates. They remind me of the ones I had as a teenager, but even nicer! I'm going to adjust the trucks and wheels a little and then hit the boardwalk. One ordering tip...like the classic skate also on Zappos, these are a full size larger than marked. I usually wear a 9, ordered an 8 and was able to add comfy insoles and wear thick socks.

Super stoked about how quickly these were mailed to me! I had 5 day shipping, and they changed it to 2 days at no extra charge. These skates are great. I am a beginner, and 37, but loving them. They glide very nicely, and are a bit snug. Very happy!

I recently got a new pair of the Chicago skates classic...went right out and tested them out. They were comfy and inexpensive. I have used them every week since I got them.

Last Christmas I bought these for my daughter ... and she was never able to get use out of them; they roll very very slow. The wheels are very tight!!! I took them to get loosened - however, it did not work at all; so I have to say I'm very disappointed!

This is the second time I have purchased these skates. I have six children and this is by far the best pair of inexpensive skates. The kids change wheels and laces all the time and nothing has failed. Great skate!

They are similar to the ones I wore in the 80s. I am skating on my asphalt driveway. Now I need to find a pom pom to put on the laces.

Purchased these for my daughter (who has large feet for her age) and she loves them! We love how they look on her, the comfort and how they\'ve handled thus far. She did rub a pretty significant blister on the lower part of her leg but she wore low ankle socks and skated in them for several hours --non-stop-- that particular day. Despite that, we\'re very happy with these skates, and with Zappos service, of course!

These are not for derby! My daughter recently joined a junior roller derby league. Roller skates are roller skates, thought I but not so! These are great if you just want to mess around at a rink now and again. The wheels are awful because they won't even fit standard replacement bearings, so upgrading means different wheels. FYI!

These skates are fine if you are a beginner, but if you\'re used to a full rolling skate, these are not it. To get a really nice rolling skate, contact your local roller skating rink. A roller rink will sell a good quality skate that will roller and they may even through in some free skating passes to use at their skating rink. And if you have any problems the skates, the skating rink can fix, but if you buy them online. Most likely the online company won\'t be able to help you. I love Zappos shoes, but they don\'t know much about skates.

These were replacement skates for another pair that did not last a month. Unfortunately, they are not holding up much better. My husband has to keep tightening the parts on the wheels, underneath, and on the toe stops. My daughter loves skating but I honestly don't expect these to last long either. However, I must brag on Zappos excellent customer service and replacement. They still have won my shoe business!

I bought this for my girlfriend, and she liked the looks so much.\r\nShe tried them on, and the sizing was OK (as recommended by other reviewers).\r\nAs soon as she used them she noticed that the bearings where not good, and the wheels felt like plastic (even though are nice looking).\r\n\r\nFor recreational skating without any speed are OK, but if you are mid level skater, upgrade a little bit.

Great skate for a good price! I added additional gel insoles into the skate for more comfort.
