About David Tate
Tate Shoe Company was founded by four brothers from a family of traditional shoemakers. They followed in the footsteps of their father who served in executive positions with several international shoe manufacturing companies in the post-war era of the 1950s. These are great for wide feet. I have a hard time finding shoes that are wide enough for my feet & also cute & comfortable, but David Tate does a good job. These are super cute, the cork wedge is right on trend, and they are comfortable. And unlike some brands that say WW, but really mean that it's the same wedge shape with longer straps, these actually have a wider sole. Good job!
I had written that I would love a pair of these shoes if they ever became available again, and had given up hope. One day I received a notice they were available, and I immediately ordered then and 2 days later I was wearing them. They are gorgeous and I feel beautiful when I wear them. Thanks Zappos!
These are awesome! I thought I would never find cute sandals to fit my extra wide foot and these worked - they were even too wide in extra wide so I went down to a wide. Would recommend.
Very, very comfortable! Like walking on a pillow. My feet are on the wide side, so the design which runs across the front has a slimming effect. Love the look. I am a true 6 1/2 and the 6 1/2 fit me perfectly.
This boot was comfortable right out of the box. The support is good. The look is understated. I'd like something with a little more pizazz. But this seems like a great basic boot.

These shoes are perfect for someone who wants a dressier shoe without the high heel. I can't do heels anymore, but these shoes keep me from missing them.
This shoe was even prettier than the photo indicated. It is quite comfortable, but unfortunately, not narrow enough for my foot, and not enough support for dancing.
These shoes scuff easily and they feel quite thin. It feels as though you are walking on the ground. They are not worth the price.
Great shoe. I ordered these for my daughter to wear to prom. She wears an extremely wide width and these not only fit great but looked very elegant on. No other shoe from a typical shoe store would fit her foot. She said they were very comfortable which is unusual for her, since she normally experiences a lot of foot pain.
Got them to wear to a summer wedding. I like the look and they are quite comfortable for this type of shoe. I was pleased to be able to get them in a wide width.
These shoes are very cute on and get lots of compliments. Of the 4 pairs I ordered to try, these had the most comfortable footbed. The heel height is good. High enough to keep my pants off the ground and feel like heels, but not so high its hard to stand around in them. I agree that the ankle straps are all very loose. It is strange and took a little getting used to. I fell like they flop around on my feet a bit when I walk. It would be nice if I could tighten the back strap. But all in all, they are great looking and comfortable to wear, so the loose fit hasn't really been a problem now that I'm used to it. I wear a 6.5 and ended up with this shoe in a 6.5 as well.
I have wide feet but not so wide calves. These were really side on the calves. Still a good looking boot.

I really like these flats! They look really nice, with a clean, simple design, and they are comfortable. They are very silver, but not too shiny, and the leather is nice and soft, but seems like it will be durable. I bought them in my normal size, 7.5, but they felt a bit loose, so I was afraid they would stretch and not stay on my heels, so I ordered size 7 also to compare, but the 7s were definitely too small and hurt my toes, so I stuck with the 7.5s. After several wears they still fit great and don't fall off of my heels. This is a nice shoe!
True to size and width. Sides don't cut into skin too much. (I have super wide feet, so this is often a problem. For me to say "not too much" is probably best translated as "won't cut in at all" for all you not freakishly wide feet people!)
Fantastic shoes. It is hard to find ones in narrow sizes. Very comfortable. Thinking of ordering the black ones.
Beautiful shoe. It's quite soft leather, so it will probably stretch a bit. Since the shoe runs wide, take width into consideration when ordering.(I usually wear 7.5W, but 7.5B fits exactly right!)
I got these in black and they are wonderful. There is a little arch support and they don't look like boats in the wide size. Comfortable too!
Tried for a long time and many shoes for a formal evening affair. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit and are comfortable. Zappos to the rescue. For the first chance I had a choice of wide dress shoes. These shoes are comfotable and look dressy and go with my dress.
