ECCO Reviews
This is best shoe Ecco ever made! This is my 4th pair over the past few years and it's the only shoe I've worn comfortably with neuropathy pain. The beige goes with everything and everywhere. Just get out my nubuck shoe kit to keep them fresh & like new. The fit on this beautiful newer style is a bit snugger than the first design, so I ordered the 41 (I'm a regular 9-1/2) It's become my "go to" shoe. Thanks, Zappos, for the wonderful service all around.
I love Ecco sandals - they are one of the few brands that make a shoe I can walk for literally miles in (4 miles round trip for work, plus a 9 hour shift on my feet) and they're cute enough that I get compliments on them. I have bunions so finding cute comfortable shoes can be very difficult and I'm thankful for Ecco. That being said, these sandals are so cute on and they have enough room for my bunion - but sadly they don't have the sole cushioning and arch support that I'm used to on other models of Ecco sandals. The actual material also seems cheaper than usual for Ecco.
These are the only shoes I have ever owned that are more comfortable to wear than not wearing shoes at all. I love them! They don't make my feet hot, and yet my feet don't get cold in them either. They're very nice looking, and waterproof too. It's sort of like magic. I bought two pairs, might buy a few more just in case Ecco discontinues them.
Nice casual summer shoes but they were much too large, just about a whole size larger than what I usually take.
Like the color and style but it is not the most comfortable shoe...the design of the shoes causes an uncomfortable crease just below the base of my toes.
I was surprised at how large these shoes felt. Perhaps it's an issue with European sizing versus American? I normally wear a 10 and ordered size 41, but they were so large that my heel was slipping out of the shoe. However, they are impressively made and very supportive. My only other issue was the color was more purple than I had expected and that may be off-putting to some.
Shoes were super comfy and the size 40 fit my narrow 9 1/2 feet, unfortunately there was a little too much pressure on the top of one of my feet when sitting, so they get returned.
Didn't like the color - much lighter than photo. Also, the heal kept slipping from my foot, even though I had the strap tightened. I'm returning them.
These are great sandals; however, the lining is too slick and my feet slide around. Ecco made similar sandals a couple of years ago with a suede/felt type of lining. They were great! The manufacturer needs to go back to a lining that is not so slick. I cannot give a five star rating because of that and I am sending them back.
These are really cute in person, but I didn't notice from the online picture that the "sepia" color features a black heel and black toe. I was hoping for plain brown. Other than that, these are super cute.
I have owned these shoes for a couple of years and have been generally happy with the look and feel of the shoes, however, recently the outsole has disintegrated. The leather upper shows only minor wear, but the outsole is shot. I took them to a shoe repair store to try and get the outsole replaced, but was told that since the outsole is direct injected it could not be replaced. So beware, the synthetic outsole will not last.
2 years ago, (2010) I bought my first pair of ECCO's and I bought a very similar design- black strappy gladiator. This is my 2nd pair which I bought in metallic and I love it as much as the first one! I love gladiators but cannot do those hard wooden foot beds, I don't understand how people wear those!! The foot bed is soft and arched so for a person like myself with terrible foot problems, this is great. the design is very trendy and not too grandma looking especially in metallic. Leather is super soft and not stiff. One thing I noticed with my other ECCO's though is that the shape does get limp after awhile (thus the 4 stars). Pricey but worth it! I love ECCO's!
This shoe is incredibly comfortable! However, I generally wear a size 7 in womens (which would normally be a 37 in European sizes) but, I went against my better judgement and ordered a 38 because of Ecco's labeling. Needless to say, I ended up exchanging them for a 37. Ofcourse, Zappos is always great with returns and exchanges so I'm sure I will have them in no time!
I love Ecco shoes and these are no exception in terms of comfort and fit. However, the color is nothing like the beautiful walnut brown that is shown in the picture. They are a more dull yellowy caramel color. I was very disappointed that they didn't look at all like the picture, but I kept them, since they are comfortable and functional.
This is a very comfortable sporty shoe. I got it for an upcoming trip during which I anticipate a lot of walking on uneven surfaces. I think this will fit the bill. The stitching on the removable insole may bother some very sensitive feet, but so far doesn't bother me. I will probably substitute an Aetrex insole for those long walking days. Lightweight, nicely made, good-looking. Even my husband thought so!
These are nice comfort shoes, but they were just a tad too large. I wear a size 7 and the 38 is just too big, but I think the 37 would be too short. I think the sizing has changed as well. A lot of shoes I order in size 7 are a little too big and all of my old size 7 shoes still fit fine.
The soles are much improved over the earlier models. They are lighter and softer.I bought the same shoes in Brown but with the plain leather about 4 years ago. The soles have hardly shown any wear! That translates into a hard sole....
These are really great looking shoes on (writing this for my husband)! They were a little tight after the first day's wear on the right foot, by the big toe. My husband walks all day up and down flights of stairs, on concrete, and asphalt, so these shoes really get a workout. 2nd day of wearing they were great! We only buy Eccos for him and they last for years, still holding up their great looks!

ECCO® began as a response to uncompromising footwear. More than 40 years ago in the small southern Jutland town of Bredebro, Denmark, Karl Toosbuy pioneered a revolution in footwear, choosing comfort over conformity. Tired of having his feet mold to his shoes, he charged that the foot should lead the shoe. A new type of footwear was born in
