Very wide. Hit my cranks no mater how much I moved the cleat. They are very stiff and caused heel lift because the sole is so stiff.

The grippy rubber on the bottom of this shoe is great. It's not the best looking shoe, like another reviewer said, but it's not bad. The red in the picture is much pinker in person - I wasn't thrilled about that, but it will dirty-up once I wear them outside. The shoe is a little stiff, but I'm sure in time they'll wear-in. Overall, good cushioning, cute enough. We'll see how they do on the trail!

These were a little snug at first, but I feel that they molded to my feet better after my first hike & scramble (approximately 4 miles). They are super sticky and great on the rocks. Watch out for loose crap as these can get a little slippery on that kind of terrain. Another fellow hiker has these and loves them.

The intent of my purchase was to get a soft soled shoe to stick well with platform pedals. I was directed to these among others buy 5-10's online support (try them, they're very fast to reply and very helpful at least to a beginner like me). I've had these out only 5-10 times now but I'm hooked. I can't talk to the wear that others have expressed concerns on but they do stick! For those not ready to hit that 6" bridge on the trail with clipless yet, these are worth looking at. Comfort is moderate only because they have to be stiff for pedaling and likewise with arch support so don't take that as a negative. I'd gripe about energy loss to the pedal if they weren't stiff. Some have mentioned shoe size for 5-10s run large but for Freeriders I concur with the other reviews of this line that they are true to size. I'm a newbie to MTB but for what it's worth, I really like these shoes!

Considerably more comfortable than the blackwings due to the leather uppers. Shoes with synthetic uppers are hit or miss becuase either they fit perfect out of the box or don't and then they won't stretch a bit in the hot spots. The downturned toe is nice and they make a good shoe that has high performance but still relatively comfortable (if you can say that about high performance climbing shoes). They are perfect for gym bouldering where you don't need as precise of footwork as you do outdoors. Same sizing as the rest of the anazasi line.

These shoes rock! I purchased them specifically for biking with flat pedals and they stick like glue. The sizing offered for men/women (I am a female who wears a 9.5 to 10 in most shoes) is pretty accurate and they were good to go out of the box. They are a wide shoe and with having narrow feet I find I really readjust the laces to avoid that floaty feeling. The soles mark up my floors really bad to I try to limit them to outdoor use only. I replaced the insoles with a super feet and was good to go! Great shoe, I look forward to many, many fat tire adventures with these all terrain beasties.

Love this shoe. I got it because it looked like a cool kick-around shoe, but then I happened to go to Joshua Tree for a campout and wore these rock climbing...totally sticky, I felt like spider man. My only downside is that the sole looks pretty thin, so I am not sure how long they will last. Other than that they are great.

These are great shoes for hiking where you need traction. The sticky sole can't be beat. However, 5/10's sizing is horrible. I have several different pairs and they are all different. One is a size W10, one is a W9.5, and one is a W9. Once you get the correct size, the shoe works well. It is sturdy and durable.

The outsoles/bottoms leave black marks on everything and pick up mud easily. for a company that makes shoes for climbing and skating these shoes are a let down.

I wear a 9.5 Supermocc. Had to up size to an 11 just to get my foot in these. Honest, my foot wouldn't go in the 10.5. It's also extremely low-volume. Wide feet beware. That said, this is the best steep-sport/bouldering shoe I've come across. It's remarkably sensitive for how well it edges. The Mystique rubber is super sticky, mores o than the C4, and comparable to Grip2. We'll see how long it lasts. Love the sale price. There's a remodel coming out this year, and they have to get rid of inventory. Doesn't make this shoe any less awesome.

I bought these based on the reviews. I was looking for a shoe that I could wear when I'm out on my bike. I'd never heard of 5-10. These shoes are big and stocky; they feel comfortable if not a bit on the heavy side. I agree with the other reviewers, these shoes absolutely stick to your pedals. My bike pedals don't have clips, toe cages or anything, and these shoes are perfect. They're comfortable to wear around when you're not riding; something I could not say for the Chrome Kursks I bought and got rid of. The only thing that I don't like is that the shoes leave black marks all over our floors. I hope that wears off or goes away with time. One last thing, I have plantar fasciitis and I use the Birkenstock insoles and these shoes are very comfortable with the insoles, something that I can't say about a lot of other shoes.

These are the most comfortable hiking shoe I have ever worn. I went on a five-miler, and they were as comfortable at mile five as they were at mile one. I love the way they lace all the way to the toe. I would definitely buy another pair.

I recently made the transition from MTB clipless to platform pedals, and was looking for a good shoe. Several folks said to tryout the five tens, you can't go wrong. All I can say is this shoe is the best setup for platforms. They're comfortable, and stick like glue!! incredible. I cannot believe how well they grip. A perfect shoe for your platform!buy em! I love these shoes. They grip so well. It's truly is incredible. For any MTB'er who like platform pedals, this is your hookup.

This is my second pair of these. Super comfortable urban walker. Durable and flexible. Athletic styling may not be for everyone, but I love them.

Good solid shoe, does it's job well. Stiffness means it is tougher for walking, but better for biking. Looks well enough to wear all day at work if business casual is allowed. One issue, cleats need to be tightened very tight in order to stop them from moving around when you ride - something I have not experienced with 2 previous pairs of street/bike shoes. Also, cleats are barely recessed - your hear metal quite often when you're walking outside. Good shoe though. Would recommend it.

So the one star review is not really a good view of these shoes. First they are not boots. They are for everyday use or day hiking. They fit pretty true to size and same as other 5.10s that I own. They have excellent grip, which is expected. They are great shoes for their purpose.

I got these to replace my 4-year old sage green 5.10 approach shoes that I wore through the soles and insides and were the best shoes ever for my hiking-dog walking needs. Ended having to get 1/2 size bigger than the last time. Same super grippy soles and good fit on my feet. These go up higher on my ankles than my last pair...hoping it won't be an issue. So far, so good.

Great shoe and the sole has made a huge difference for me! I am one of those people who tends to slip and trip while hiking -- the Stealth rubber has given me a better grip and more confidence. I have worn these backpacking in the Beartooths (5 days), 13 days trekking in Nepal and the awful city streets in Kathmandu. This is my permanent go-to shoe.

I bought these shoes for indoor table tennis. They are terrible shoes for indoor sports (like table tennis). They are great for running, walking and bicycling. The shoes look great, fit well (true to size) and work great. I get many complements on them and I like them overall. These shoes are particularly great for riding on platform pedals. Who says you need clipless?

Not much of a chance to use these for scrambling belaying yet due to it being winter here. Have worn them on several occasions around town and they feel great. Super sticky C4 soles and a cushy upper around the ankle are a great combo. Excited to try them on dry rock in the spring.

Ordered this shoe in two sizes (7.5 and 8) and the 7.5 is way too small, the 8 is just a tad big mostly in the heel. My street shoe size is 7.5. I have a size 37 in my La Sportiva Miuras. I have a narrow heel and wider foot at the toes. I climb mostly indoors, mostly bouldering. The aggressive toe is great, the padded tongue feels really nice. The only problem is slipping out of the heel pocket on just my smaller foot, but as the shoe gets worn in it is starting to feel better.
