This is definitely the best shoe I ever had. I ordered this shoe and the New Balance 2200 just to try them on to see how they feel. I did not have much expectation, on this shoe but was incredibly impressed and decided to keep it. I think these are better than the New Balance 2200. I now have over 100 miles walking in these shoes. I love them! By the 2nd time I used them they seemed to be broke in pretty good. If you decide to try out these shoes, They run 1 full size short. so order the next full size up. You will not be disappointed.. And I think this is the best Style that Hoka One has, in the black. I wear them casually also. Incredibly comfortable!

This is the first review I have ever done but these shoes are worth the effort. These are by far the best shoes I have ever run in. Marathons, short distances, speed, they are the best. Buy these shoes!

I love these shoes! They are minimalist inside, with limited arch support and plenty of room to spread your toes, but the cushioning on them makes it easy to absorb impact while still feeling the ground and its bumps and curves as you run.

This is by far the best shoe I have ever worn. It works well both on the road and trail. The only drawback is there is not much traction on muddy trails. That said I have done many runs/races with this shoe in muddy, wet and or snowy conditions. You just have to know how to run. One other thing that needs to be known is the shoe runs one size small. I wear a 10.5, but in hoka's I wear a 11.5. Although the shoe has a lot of support and cushion, it performs more like a minimal shoe. For me it's close to the perfect shoe. As I said just needs some more tread. I really believe because of the cushion that my legs recover faster. I also feel like my legs have more life in them (than if I was wearing a more traditional shoe) late into 100 mile races. Another thing I liked was after doing a muddy 100 miler (Rocky Raccoon 100 in 2012) I had only one blister and that was in between my toes. And at Western States 100 I wore the Cascadia up to forest hill (mile 62); my feet had two large blisters and were killing me! At this point I put on my hokas and had no more blister problems and with the added support was able to start running stronger again. I know a lot of people complain about the price, but the shoes are about the same as most Salomans and many other trail shoes. The last drawback is the shoes are ugly! Most ultra runners are not that caught up in style though!
