Hunter Reviews
I love these boots! I bought them when I was headed to Paris, and saw that the weather forecast was for 7 days of rain. I walked everywhere in them, and they couldn't have been more comfortable, and cute. I was so grateful that I'd gotten them.
I'm 5' tall with relatively short legs and the size 6 comes right up under my knees. These might be too tall for some, especially those who take a larger shoe size relative to their height. Broke these in during a full day walking around DC in the rain, including steep muddy hills. By hour 14 or so my feet were definitely protesting the rough treatment, but no more so than with any other shoe. In fact, I'm pretty sure the ankle support saved my bacon a few times. No blisters or raw spots, no nasty surprises from interior seams. These are great, thoughtfully-designed boots. If you're not used to heels this height, expect some discomfort. If you're not used to sturdy, utilitarian footwear, expect to be surprised by the heft. But if you expect your shoes to work hard and look great doing it, you're not going to be disappointed.
Now I know what all the fuss is about - Hunter boots are classics for a reason! They are stylish and comfortable. I use to dread rainy days, but now I get excited because I get to wear my wellies!
I love this boot; however, it is now beginning to crack and I have not even worn them past two season of wear.
I love these boots! The laces are really cute and make wearing rain boots a little more fashionable. I have worn them twice and have gotten tons of compliments. I have very wide feet and found that they fit fine, which I was worried about. I wear a size 6 1/2 and originally ordered 7 but ended up going with 6. I would recommend going down if you are a half size.
I feel like I am off to visit Queen Elizabeth at Balmoral in mine. I got the Hunter Green. That is a great color. These are great rain boots. I wear mine to garden too. The only negative is that my legs get sweaty in them (which makes pulling them off no tricky). The model in your video must have very lean calves. Mine fit just right in the calf and I have an average good size woman's calf.
I wanted these boots so badly and was so excited to get them finally! I am very disappointed in them. I got the glossy. I have worn them three times and by the second time, the gloss/shine was totally gone and they are so scuffed up. They look awful. For the price, they should hold up better. They also don't fit great around my calf and I don't have large calves. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on these. Very disappointing.
I am so happy with this boot. It has a great fit and is super comfortable. The aubergine color (purple) that I got is awesome! Something different, a nice subtle color. A must have if you live in a place where it rains a lot (aka Vancouver!).
I have owned 3 pairs of these boots and every single one of them has cracked and ripped on the top and the heel has worn down so it leaks now too. Thankfully Zappos is wonderful with customer service and I never had to pay for any of these replacements but for the price you're paying for Hunter these aren't worth it.
Big rain storm came through our area in No. California. I work on 8 acres of land which include 100+ year old buildings, cemetery and all kinds of ground. I finally decided to buy the best rain boot made..The Hunter and I was right. These boots perform just like they were made by the original maker. Slip on like a glove and wear well all day long. I bought the huntress because of my muscular calves. If you want the best, you won't be disappointing. Do your homework on size. Love my green wellies!! P.S. Zappos was great to deal with.
Tight on the instep/forefoot. Opening rubbed on calves and hard to stabilize oneself on wedge. No traction and made squishy sound on marble floors. Carpeted floors OK.
I ordered the Original, regular shipping, and Zappos sent it next day. It was a little too tall for my 5'3 frame (hit me right at the back of the knee), so I ordered the Huntress to compare. The Huntress is the perfect height for me, so I'm keeping that pair. (My pair has the Hunter label, not Huntress as others have mentioned.) I did not have a problem with either boot being too tight around the calves, and I do not have particularly skinny calves. I normally wear a size 9 and went with an 8. The Original is VERY roomy, while the Huntress is not quite as roomy. I'm sticking with the 8 Huntress as it will still allow me to wear a thick pair of socks comfortably. Nice quality boot, great Zappos service.
No need to wear socks with these, like having angel food cake tied to your feet. Hunter you are so adorable in red love them!
I am so pleased with my new boots! The width is perfect for my large calves. they are not enormously wide, but they do give me enough space to wear my jeans tucked in. They are comfortable to walk in and are light weight. The color is beautiful and not garish. I look forward to wearing them for years to come.
I love them! Super cute and comfortable with the yellow fleece socks. I usually wear an 8 1/2 but the 8 fit perfectly even with the sock. I wore them to the flea market and got tons of compliments and of course I let them know where I got them. I love your company!
