Hush Puppies

Another loafer in the endless loafer quest that I wish came in narrow. I wear an 8 or sometimes an 8.5. I tried them in an 8, and they're too wide for me, even though my feet are only narrow in the heel; they're kind of slipper-like and gap all around the sides, even when I'm not walking. As far as styling, the whip stitched toe is adorable, the brown is a nice light/medium shade, and the leather footbed is comfy. If they offered a narrow width, I'd try them in an 8.5, because my toe was right up against the end of the shoe in an 8.

These shoes are very comfortable and look great! I have bought them in black, tan, and this red.Highly recommend them. They are cute but easy to wear all day.

A word of caution to those with wide feet: stay away from these sandals! I'm beginning to to see a pattern with Hush Puppies...they tend to be narrower than specified. I have wide "Fred Flintstone" feet. The pair I bought were supposed to be EEE width. They turned out to be D width the best I can determine. I had purchased a pair of Hush Puppy semi-dress shoes last year that were supposed to have been "E" width, and they pinched my feet so badly, I never wear them.

My Mom loves these shoes! She is 90 and needs stability and comfort. We tried five different brands and these were simply the best for her! And a million thanks to Zappos for making it a breeze to shop for a home-bound person. Zappos is the best.

Good arch support but definitely not for someone with flat feet. The leather was to soft to hold my foot.Cute shoes but sadly, they're going back.

My husband put these on, thought they were maybe a bit tighter than expected, and then stood up to try walking around... and with every step he took, his feet slipped on the carpet. We started to laugh at how he might as well be ice-skating, and then we put them back in the box to return. For a shoe that he wants to wear outdoors and just hanging around, having to fight against the slick almost-no-tread sole was just not going to work.

These shoes are wonderful! Cute and stylish, and pretty comfy, too! I agree with other reviews that they are a little weak on the arch support. (But you could probably by arch-only supports. They fit snug to the foot, so the factory insole would have to be removed and replaced entirely if you wanted more "whole-foot" support.) The only downside (and this may just be me) after wearing them a couple of weeks, the insoles really started to make my feet smell! I always buy leather shoes to prevent this, but the insoles are usually "man made". Ultimately I removed the insoles, washed them with soap and water, let them dry, then put them back in. I'll probably have to do that periodically.

I was worried about the seam issue in another review, but I haven't noticed it at all. The lace-up detail adds something to the otherwise plain shoe. The shoe is totally wearable, though it's wider than I like. I have little to no arch, so the lack of arch support works, though someone with a high arch might have problems. I do wish the sole was more padded for comfort.

I loove these shoes! Unfortunately they dont have a 9. I tried a wide 10 to see if I could get away with it but they were too big and I had to send them back. Theyre so comfortable.

Although these are not as vibrant as the picture indicates, they are a great yellow neutral. Very comfy with a cute sole.

I bought my first pair (black) of HP Vesper from the HP website directly. They were more expensive than on Zappos, so when I realized how incredibly comfortable they were, I checked Zappos immediately for other color options. If they came in more colors than just brown and black, I would buy more. These shoes stay on your foot, are true to size and look great. I have warn them with pants and dresses and for travel. Wore them straight out of the box all day long! I have a very wide foot and bought the 7.5 EW, which is the same size I would buy in Munro or other brands.

Great shoe. Comfy yet supportive! Bought another pair right away. Have hard to be comfy feet. Lol good shoe. Zappos is such a winner! I love them!

Cute, professional, and comfortable. I love these shoes. I can dress them up and down. I have wide feet and they fit perfect without going to the extra wide.

I have had good luck with HP, especially their Zero G foot bed. I have a bad left foot, multiple surgeries, fused toe, couple hammer toes, etc. This shoe accommodates toes and is perfect heel height, with great forefoot support. The toe box is wider than another HP of similar style. This shoe will accommodate a high instep, which I don't have. It fits perfect in size 8. Needed to add more holes to strap. Good support.

Comfortable on, once your toe gets used to the leather strap (all my other thongs have soft straps between the big toe and the second toe). Holds on well to the foot. The triangle of leather on top of the foot will doubtless give an odd suntan, it's pretty big. But the shoe is comfortable and handsome, a nice bet for the summer when you don't want to wear rubber thongs.

I receive compliments all over the city when I wear these! I wore thin socks at first because I was afraid of blisters but now I realize that the socks aren't necessary - no blisters without the socks! The red leather is pretty and good quality, but has stretched with every wear. That's okay though because I like that they form to my feet. The cushion is really comfortable but there's not much arch support - I have high arches. Still, I've worn them all day on my feet at an outdoor festival and didn't have to think about my feet all day!

Seriously cute - really comfortable. I just got them, I cannot wait to wear them somewhere! My feet are average width and my left foot is almost 1/2 size smaller than my right - both feet are fine in this shoe. I have stabilizing hardware in my left ankle (due to a bad break) and the leather is soft and doesn't irritate, the elastic strap fits on both ankles. I'm happy!

Very nice quality, however the size runs one and a half sizes to small.

These are very comfy and cute! The straps are perfectly positioned for comfort and are adjustable.
