inov-8 Reviews
On reading other reviews stating that the narrow feeling subsided with natural stretching after a couple weeks I was hesitant but gave them a try anyway. Yes, they're a tiny bit snug on the sides (I'm always Medium/D) but otherwise a perfect fit, and I think the fit on the sides will come in handy in boot-camp when doing 'suicides' and the like. Really looking forward to my first WOD in them on Monday.
I wanted to love these- sadly they are going back. I ordered this style and the f-lite 195, which I have never tried before. I love Inov-8 but my 220's give me blisters when running and my 230's are a little too minimal. just sprinted 60y in this shoe and my toe jammed toward the front. Also it is very stiff (probably thanks to the Gore-tex) and narrow. Love the style, but the 287 is just uncomfortable for actual running. Luckily the 195 feels awesome, isn't too big or small, and no toe issues when sprinting. I just hope it helps with my leg pain.

These are great shoes and my fair pair from Inov. I think they are among the best that I ever had. I was looking for shoes that only had a only mesh upper as I did not want anything to bother my feet and for them to feel free as possible. I am 6'5", 220 pounds and running mostly trails. These shoes got a lot of reviews, and that is an important aspect, at least for me, when I have decided for these one. I have also tried also the Inov -195. They have the same nice fit and comfort, but as for my constitution I have opted for 230 having a slightly thicker sole than the 195 so they are more comfortable for the long run. I also tried Brooks Launch which are also great shoes with upper mesh only, but I wanted something lighter and also Brooks seemed to me to much comfortable. My feet were kind of sinking in, they were too puffy for me. If you want to get rid of the old ordinary thick comfortable sole running shoes you may want to try something from Inov which for the same comfort gives much lighter very well fitting shoes. For sure I will look into Inov's first next time when searching to buy a new pair.
These shoes are great for crossfit. I use them at the gym and outdoors. They are very light and thin, yet protective enough to make a solid shoe. The laces are a bit sketchy as they are very thin, but overall this shoe performs very well. Extremely flexible shoe.
I bought these for cross training. Not sure if I would run in these for longer runs since they don't have much arch support. I felt more balanced when lifting weights and they really make your legs work when running.
Great minimalist shoe and perfect for your CrossFit workouts. The zero rise and minimal design provide a solid platform to lift from.
These shoes are awesome, they fit incredibly comfortably and are great even just to wear to the gym.
The second my foot started to sweat, the shoe started to slip all over the place. I may use them for canoeing, but they are impossible to run in.
Love the minimus shoe. This is a great shoe and this is my second pair because I love them so much! My plantar fasciitis has gone away after I built up the foot strength and I will never go back to a regular tennis shoe again!
My husband loves these. They are very lightweight shoes - great for the gym (although, if you're looking for a running shoe, this isn't the one, nor is it meant to be, as it's not supportive enough). He loves that they are lightweight and easy to pack in his gym back, as well as very comfortable and breathable. Fits true to his size.
Just back from my first trip in these and they are great! Light, comfortable and promise to be long-lasting. No breaking in, no blisters. Good traction on slippery hard packed dirt, good toe protection. Only thing, they run very small, I had to go a full size up from my usual.
Love these shoes, run everything from 4 to 16 miles in them! They are great! Great climbing rubber, stick to everything! Prob a 2 week break in- adjustment time for my feet where I kept it low mileage Toe box is kinda big, got a 6, which I wear in wave-runners prob could go down a half size.

I love these shoes for Crossfit, specifically the flat bottom design and rope grabbing sides. They don't provide a lot of cushion for running, but that is expected. The only regret I have with them is I believe they run a bit large. I typically wear a 10.5 in other shoes and the 10.5 in the inov-8 seems a bit long.
I love this hat so much I bought another in a different color. It's light and doesn't make me all hot while running, but the terry cloth keeps the sweat from running down my face. The main thing I like, though, is the low-profile fit. I'm female and it's hard to find a baseball hat like this that doesn't pull down over my ears! I can pull it all the way down so it stays in place and I don't look like a dork!
These shoes run smaller than the stated size. I wear 9.5 normally but I had to buy these in 10. I actually use them for running because they feel closer to a true minimalist shoe like my Vibram Fivefingers or Altra Adam than the Road-X or F-Lite. I just ran 5K no more than an hour ago and no hotspots. My only complaint is that the toe box isn't as wide as Altra's so my pinky toe on either foot was a little squished. Great shoe, overall.
So comfy. Can't wait to run/workout in them. I tried these at the same time as the barefoot Merrell and another Inov8 shoe and these won the comfort test, hands down.
Great minimalist shoe. I removed the sock liner and ran in socks. I've done several long runs in these shoes and am very happy with them. You get the road feel of the Vibram Five Fingers without the constricted toe feeling. I like a big toe box, so I ended up sizing up 1 size. It felt about 1/2 size too small for me. This is the first shoe to offer any meaningful competition to the SoftStar Moc3. I like it much better than the Vivo Barefoot Evo II (terrible uppers, very stiff!).
