Kelty Reviews
This is a good bag. It's sturdy. It's a bit narrow at the top, esp. if there are items in the organizer flap. It's very roomy at the bottom and can easily fit a lot of items as long as you can get them past the pinch point. For size reference, I was able to put a six-pack at the bottom of this bag. I like that the logo is sewn on and can easily be removed.
This backpack is great. It's actually bigger than I need, but that doesn't matter because I can just cinch it down with the compression straps. The waist belt is comfy and padded and optional--you can remove it if you want. I use this to tote my stuff and change of shoes to work on a 2-mile walk. I've also used it to haul home heavy groceries from a store a mile away. It's so well constructed I expect it to last a long time. Water resistant enough for Seattle too.
Just like from the 70s! Wonderful for just heading out. Not a lot of straps and things hanging all over the outside. Perfect for skiing. Get one and go!

Super sturdy and durable, not to mention comfortable and pretty. I bought this bag for high school, but plan on using it this summer to go hiking and traveling in Europe. Awesome.
I bought this backpack to replace my 25 year old worn out pack. I have not used it on the trail yet, but packed it full of camp gear to see how much it holds and how it fits me. This pack feels comfortable on my hips and is fully adjustable. I am 5'5, overweight and big chested, and this pack adjusted to my body just fine. It is so cute, I hate to think of getting it dirty on the trail! I like the outer straps to compress it down easily so I won't need an extra compression sack, and the removable top will work great as a pillow. It holds more weight than I can carry-I packed a full weeks worth of MRE's and dehydrated camp foods, a camp stove, water filter, tent, basic toiletries and 2 full changes of clothing. Everything fit just fine, even room to spare! Plenty of straps on the outside for the sleeping bag. Once packed, I felt the weight distribution was good but that's more up to the user to pack correctly, the point is for a woman my size, this pack is a really good fit. I gave it 4 stars overall just b/c I do not know how durable it will be on the trail-the snaps are all plastic so I'll be watching that in the field. The seams all appear to be well sewn, so we'll see. It looks like most of the straps can be tucked in for airline travel, but I forgot to check that when the pack was full. Overall, a good looking pack and if it lasts another 25 years, I'll have gotten my money's worth!
This is the perfect everyday backpack. It's big enough to hold the basics (books, personal items, packable rain jacket, etc.). It's not big enough for a larger laptop, but the style would probably look odd if it was that large. Although mine is still very new, the zipper and hardware on the back seem ultra durable. With the traveling that I've done so far with it, it was extremely comfortable even when it was totally packed and heavy. The straps are great and the weight distributes really well. My only wish was that key strap was either in the outside pocket or was a little closer to the opening of the main compartment. Given the quality of the other materials, it would've been nice if the clip for keys was metal instead of plastic. Overall, very highly recommended! I look forward to buying another Kelty bag in the future.
I bought this bag for my boyfriend, he hasn't used it yet but we love it! The Kelty adjustable back is great on the other Kelty packs we have and this one has front zipper access with netting for shoes, etc. Great compartments and storage, easy to use, we love love this pack!

I bought this to carry my yoga gear. I have a large, heavy mat and it's ideal. Although it is really too big because it is so light it works well. The fabric and workmanship is excellent. I'm sure I'll use it for traveling, too.
I'm already in love with this bag. It's the perfect size: not to big for crowded buses and concerts, but not so small you look like you stole your little brother's backpack. It's obviously a bit thin, and I wouldn't necessarily trust it to keep contents dry in a downpour, but this little guy fits my 15" laptop (seriously) and has tons of built in compartments for storing all your goodies. I love it.
Very cute, the zipper doesn't worth as smooth as I like it to, but otherwise I love the cute little size but at the same time room to fit so many things. I love it.
I ordered a Kelty backpack after my Jansport got sopping wet in a little rain. I thought - based on the dimensions for each - they would be similar sized, but it's about 2/3 smaller. It has, however, proven itself to be more resilient in rain thus far, and is very comfortable and significantly better looking. In fact, I think I am going to order a hiking pack.
Very bright, lightweight, perfect for backpacking, very nice hanging in the tent, and a great cooking light.
Perfect little backpack. I use it for grad school. I'm able to carry around everything I need for the day...laptop, books, snack. It is super cute and I get compliments all the time.
This is such a great, sturdy pack- I'm using it for school, currently, and it's a perfect size for my frame! (A lanky 5'6"). Not enormous enough to mark me as an obvious student, it's perfect for biking, bus/train/plane aisles, as it's not huge, and it's so light and well-made, I can tell this is a bag I'm going to be using for a long time. (Zappos customer service continues to be excellent, by the way!)
Saw a cute guy on the train with this pack on and instantly texted "Kelty Pack" to myself. Bought one the next day and have been obsessed since. I love that it's top loading, love all the inner pockets and dividers, not to mention the design and quality of materials is superb. Padded straps, easily adjustable. Love.
Like this bag (style/size) as I live in NYC and need to carry my gym stuff to/from work. It's large enough to fit shorts, shirt, sneakers but small enough to toss over my back without the added bulk of many other bags. Made extremely well. The videos are very helpful in demonstrating how large it looks on your frame. This works perfectly for me!
Great bag, good for collapsing and having inside of a bag when you need an extra, like when you buy some food in the airport.
