Lowa Reviews
Outstanding boot. Lightweight and very comfortable. Fit is right on and bows away any other boot I have owned.
Very comfortable, well made boot. I needed a full size larger than I normally wear. The only thing that makes me hesitate to purchase another pair is that the tread picks up gravel a debris. In the beginning I was constantly cleaning the tread.
This is my favorite hiking boot. After 7 miles my feet were getting tired across the arch in another brand of boot so I was told to look into this boot because it comes in ladies' wide sizes . And voila! my feet keep going happily after that 7 mile mark! I still have my old pair after 6 years but thought I should get an extra pair "in case." Love this boot.

This boot seems to be the real deal! Been looking for a good pair of summer/warm weather boots and in the past options were either too big and heavy or too flimsy. The zephyr is the best I've seen so far and I've wasted a lot of cash on numerous pairs of inadequate boots took the zephyrs to St. Martin and hiked everything from jeep trails, to volcanic boulders, beaches, sketchy skree fields and the boots rocked! Great ankle support, terrific grip, lightweight and my feet never felt hot in the arid, 85 degree weather. The only improvement I could think of would be a bit more of a stiffer sole (Plate) and would be willing to sacrifice the weight...other than that I am extremely pleased with this pair of boots...so far.
I loved the look andfit of these shoes for an upcoming trip but they were unbearably hot even with smart wool socks.
My double socked foot for hiking: 280mm long, 111mm wide, Euro size 44. Boot: US 10.5, Euro 44. Length okay, too narrow across my forefoot, but not so narrow as the Lowa Tibet. Perhaps that's due to the lack of rubber rand surrounding this boot? One size chart said my foot was an E width, boot is a D. Little wiggle room for toes. Foot bed otherwise comfortable.

High quality boot made for a woman's feet, I appreciated the way the heel is snugly held, not swimming around but correctly supported. The traction on rocks and inclines/declines is above adequate. Comfort is immediate, no real breaking in required. I'm very impressed and should be for the price. Did put a pair of Super Feet insoles in because I like a bit more support on inside of arch/heel. Love the boots!
I compared this with the Vasque Vista UltraDry, the Zamberlan Vioz GT, and the Timberland Chocorua Trail with Gore-Tex. I have average to slightly wide feet and (sadly) thick ankles. This boot is better suited for someone with average to narrow feet. It felt tight across the top compared to the other 3 boots. It was the least comfortable of the 4 I tried. It was also a little disappointing when it came to arch support. I have very high arches, and this boot just didn't make the cut for me. Nice sole, nice styling, just not supportive enough for me. The Timberland seemed to be a much better buy, and much more comfortable...just not a great sole like this boot has.
I loved this boot 'til the toe cracked and split, it has a unibody sole construction. It failed at 10 months.
I cannot recommend enough of these shoes! I have had these for over two years, and have been going to hiking in the White Mountains every other week throughout the entire year. They are very durable, comfortable, and keep your foot warm and dry. Because they look casual, without the mountaineer's look, I also wear these around town when there is snow on the ground.
I purchased my Lowa boots about 5-6 months ago. Like other reviews, I wear work boots for a living. I was wearing Georgia's and then switched to Wolvereines. I ended up having plantar fascia issues. I did not switch back to Georgia's because the model I wore does not have removable insoles. So I started thinking. The most comfortable boots I wear are typically my hiking boots. I set out to buy a good pair of hiking boots. I purchased Lowa Renegades. I also purchased insoles from Foot Fix online. Best pair of boots I have ever worn. I have also hiked in them and they are great in any setting, right out of the box.
My husband bought these to replace his worn out hiking boots, he tried a more expensive pair of backpacking boots but found them uncomfortable and gave him blisters and numbness. Then he tried these and loves them, he has used them for hiking and snowshoeing. He is usually a 12 and they run true to size, they are waterproof and the green color is fun.
In one word...ugly! They run way small and would only look good on somebody walking in a desert. Buy at least a full size larger.
I love these boots! This is my fourth pair (I'm a high mileage trekker). Glad they come in the D width too.
I absolutely love these boots! This is actually my second pair of Trekkers. I had a foot injury, had to get orthodics, so I had to get a larger size. I do not really do a lot of hard core hiking, but I wear my boots most days that there is snow on the ground. I live in Breckenridge, Colorado, so that is a lot of days. I had my last pair for over six years, and they really did not ever wear down. These boots are super comfortable, with virtually no break in period. I had a pair of Vasque Sundowners before, and they never really broke in or fit as well as these. The only negative that I can say is that they are a little heavy. They may seem expensive, but in my opinion are well worth it!
Fantastic boot! I gulped at the price, but was pleased right out of the box. Great details, and superb workmanship. Mine have about 20 miles on them so far, and don't have a mark on them! I haven't had one hot spot or blister. I debated about going half a size bigger, but the 10.5 has settled in nicely. They feel like they were custom made for my foot. I have a medium arch. I love the lace system, and especially like the post on the tongue, that holds it exactly where you put it! No pinching around the ankle, the back is just soft enough to give when you need it. These will take you anywhere you want to go! They are sturdy, perfect for hiking with a heavy pack. These are an investment, but your trip won't be ruined because of your feet! Zappos is the best internet store in the world!
These are excellent hiking boots that are very comfortable. I am sorry that I did not get these before. I highly recommend these quality trekking boots.
Great boot! First used the Lowa Khumbu hiking fourteeners in Colorado. Find them comfortable enough to wear to work. Excellent fit and no break in required. Lightweight without compromising support.
