I start wearing flip flops as soon as it's warm enough and sometimes even earlier. Last year I was introduced to OluKai and bought a pair of Hiapo's which I love. They took about a week to break in and I have never had a more comfortable pair of sandals. The Mea Ola's are taking a bit longer to break in. I like how they look, but don't love the shiny finish of the leather. When I first got them I had to almost squeeze my foot into them. I actually wondered if the strap had been cut small, but they are getting better. I usually wear a size 12 but since most say that OluKai run small, I ordered a size 13. As far as length goes, they are pretty close to what I should be wearing and don't have any complaints with that. My wife keeps reminding me that my pair from last year took awhile to break-in, so I'm trying to remain patient. Bottom line, I like how they look and they offer great support. As soon as the strap softens and loosens a bit, they will be as nice as my Hiapo's - which I love.
I recently purchased my second pair of OluKai Hiapo sandals after my first pair finally came apart from 2+ years of constant use. The sandal's bottom and top were still in great condition but the toe separator pulled out of its anchor point. Not overly surprised after the use (and abuse) I gave them. They are amazingly comfortable with great arch support and construction overall. Beautifully detailed leather with fine attention to stitching and the low profile rubber pads on the soles supply adequate traction. If I get another 2+ years out of this pair I'll buy another.
I love these sandals! The first time I wore them was in Disney World and they were very comfortable walking all over the parks. I would highly recommend them. I will be buying another pair of OluKai for the beach.
I bought these for my sister and she says they are so comfortable and better than the previous yoga mat flip flops I gave her!
What a terrific flip flop! This is the first year I decided to abandon cheap Old Navy-style rubber flip flops and take care of my feet during the casual summery days. Spent all day walking around the city and the arch support plus the cushion of the sole was just fantastic. The sole was also wide enough for my extra-wide foot (I'm normally a 6.5 and I was told to order a 7). The straps are also comfortable--no chafing.
Between the toe straps always wear down and blow out. This has happened to me twice and two other friends I know.But I love these flops. Just wish they used stronger material.
Bought the Teal and loved them so much I bought the pink color. Totally comfortable, practical with the dark sole, good arch support and cute!Love them.
These sandals are really comfortable in the sole, but they were too loose around the ankle. They also made my already large feet (size 10) look even bigger. I love Olukai's, but unfortunately these are going back.
I ordered these sandals about two months ago, based primarily on the style of them, as well as quite a few positive reviews. While I do think they look nice, I've been dissapointed with the comfort of them. I find it typically takes a week or so to break sandals in, so I held off for a while on reviewing these. Unfortunately, these just don't seem to get any more comfortable with wear (and I believe my hesitation has cost me the ability to simply return them.) I don't know if it's the positioning of the strap or the material they're made of, but they flat-out hurt the tops of my feet. It's too bad the most expensive pair of sandals I've ever puchased is also the most uncomfortable. I'll stick with Cobian, Quicksilver, or Reef from now on.
I love these! I have plantar fasciitis and just all around achy feet and these are literally the only shoes I can wear all day that make my feet feel good. I would never have thought of even wearing a sandal because there's no way to have an arch support insert and every shoe I wear has to have the inserts. So it's a very nice way to have stylish, cool feet for summer. I'll be ordering more. Thanks Zappos!
These are amazing. Super lightweight, breathable, roomy toes, love the toggled lacing, no friction/rubbing anywhere, and the absolute best arch support ever. Ordered these for my mom, (her 9.5s fit true to size), and they were so fab I had to order a pair for myself -- also true to size in my usual 7.5, though I ordered mine direct from the company since Zappos doesn't stock the charcoal/new pool color. Love. Really cute in person, well made, and preposterously comfortable.
These shoes are so comfortable and stylish. They are rugged but look feminine. Thee are by far the nicest gladiators I have ever seen. Love them!
These are very nice quality. However they are not even close to true size. My husband wears a size 15. Usually he gets a 16 to be safe, he had to send these back for a 17. Luckily the sizes went that high.
This is the third pair I have purchased since 2007. I love them for their comfort and appearance.
I love OluKai shoes! These sandals are amazing but they run about 1/2-1 size too big. I am a true 8 and needed to get a 7. Zappos was great and exchanged them for me.
These are great, extremely comfortable sandals. My experience with this brand is that they are sturdy though fine to wear all day.
Hands down, OluKai is my favorite sandal! They are amazingly comfortable. The metallic adds some fun. Love these! I'd wear them all year if I lived in a warmer climate.
Lost a pair of these in the Amazon. Immediately ordered another pair. Best sandals I have owned. Soft leather footbed with excellent contour for foot arch.
These were extremely comfortable with great arch support. However, I will be returning them for one size smaller. I typically wear an 8 in most shoes and will need to to order these in a 7.
