Parker began in 2008, by New York City designers Laurieanne Gilner and Derek Farrar. They wanted to fill a void in the marketplace for "great tops." Laurieanne travels the globe seeking out vintage prints from the 1920's and 1950's. She re-interprets them with an eclectic, Paris-meets-Brooklyn sensibility. Derek is the modern couturier.He incorporates the details, whether it is a seam or a ruffle, with the modern girl in mind. The result is a collection of weightless, easy garments with impeccable fit that work season after season. Derek is inspired by the ultra-feminine flavor of every decade, particularly ruffles, flounces and bows.
The success of Parker has made this collection the "go-to" brand for beautiful blouses, terrific tunics and tops that can be desirably dressed up or down for any occasion. Parker has since expanded to a full collection, which now includes dresses, pants, shorts, jumpsuits, rompers and tuxedo jackets.

Beautiful colors and very bright. Not dull at all. Love purple and lavender in it. I paired with a short black bolero, thin brown braided belt, and leggings. You must iron before trying it on. It comes very wrinkly. I almost sent it back because it came looking awful. It looks beautiful on if ironed, and the silk is good quality. I am 5'8, 130 pounds and got Medium. It is very long in back. The biggest con of this dress is the big ruffle at bustline, in front and back. I hate it, but the dress looked so good on me, I decided to put up with that.
Gorgeous dress. Seriously gorgeous...until you get to the top. I'm a size 6-8 and 36 C/D (you'll see why this is relevant in a second) and in my other flowy Parker dresses, I typically wear a Small. I tried this dress on in a Medium and found that my breasts were very unfortunately squished by the top. I expected that the top would have a blousy feel, but it most definitely didn't. My chest fit in the large, but the weight of the skirt was so heavy that the whole dress sagged, and I lost the slimming effect of the elastic around my waist.

Love this dress! Very comfy. I am 5'4 at 120lbs large chest and this is super-flattering. Short, so must have fit legs. Material is so soft.
Love it! Very cute for spring/summer. Fit is great, colors are great. I plan to wear it with cream colored heels.
