This is my second pair of Chaco Z sandals. My first pair finally gave out on me after 11 years of use. I decided to go with the Cloud for extra comfort on hard surfaces, and too my delight they were not overly squishy. It was subtle, but just enough to make walking on sidewalks more comfortable. I am bummed that they no longer offer Vibram soles, because my old Vibram sole Chacos were excellent. Those sandals have been in many a creek and river and the traction was so good that I hardly ever slipped, even on the slickest river stone. The toe loop, for me, is essential. I do a lot of backpacking and hiking, including the above mentioned river trips, and they give me a lot more stability and control over the footbed. Highly recommended!

I had to size up for my son as they were just right for his feet. Other than that he states that his feet feels very secure while strapped and they were very comfortable. He loves them.

I've worn Chacos all over the world since the mid-90's. Though I prefer the Z/2 with no heal strap(apparently no longer available) the Z/Cloud2 sandals are THE most comfortable right out of the box sandals I have ever owned. I put them on and went for a 4 mile walk with a swim in the creek the day I got them. None of the usual new strap rubbing or sore soles of my feet from the rough footbed. The soles of the sandals are also very nice. Not the heavy clunky Vibram stuff. Soft and supple with nice grip. The Z/Cloud2 is super comfy. I wear them all day every day. I'm a big guy so we'll see how they hold up. In case Chaco is listening, this footbed in a model with no heal strap would be a dream come true for me.

I have owned several of the standard Z2 Chacos - this is my first pair of clouds Are they softer? Yes they are - but only a little bit. They are not like Teva softer. Basically take a Z2 and add a bit of softness right at your foot. I love these. They also feel lighter in weight. This particular strap (blue) is the softest most broken in strap I have ever had. Maybe all new Chaco's are that way. My others are much older.

The layer of softer rubber is a game-changer. If Chacos are too hard for you, or the top is too aggressively textured, the "Cloud" (bad name) could be the Chacos you can wear. I can walk on concrete in the city all day in these, but the classics pound my heels and knees too much.

Although I had handled them in stores and always thought they felt heavy - everyone told me they would be very comfortable on my feet so I ordered a pair. They are very heavy. Felt like I was walking around with stones on my feet that I had to lift and swing forward. Much heavier and more uncomfortable than light weight teva's i have had in the past. I just want them for casual walking around and going in the water or rafting - maybe these are made to hike all day. They were not for me.

Arch support is fantastic but the "soft" foot bed is not very soft at all, the straps don't adjust well and dig into my feet, and the shoes are very heavy for a sandal. Will be returning these. Too bad because good arch support is so hard to find in a waterproof sandal.

This sandal has just one strap that is adjustable. The strap that goes around the heel and over the top of the foot is not adjustable at all, and cut into the top of my foot. I had to return this product.

Chacos are the best open toed shoes for walking, especially long distances. I use mine to hike and to take long walks around town. These take a while to break in and they will rub on your ankles a little bit. They are the bees knees once they’re broken in. In this particular sandal, I like the color and light weighted ness.

FINALLY!!! I have been going through all the brands of hiking sandals trying to find one that didn’t hurt (Tevas are garbage)! I know I tried on a men’s Chaco last year, but I must have needed the EE width/Cloud footbed/toe strap style combo for them to be just right. A decade ago I wore I the women’s toe strap in a 9W but alas, those don’t feel good anymore (the arch support cuts into the sides of my foot). I feared I was relegated to old lady sandals that can’t get wet at the ripe old age of 36-but no! Just needed that extra width and cloud footbed! Thank you Chacos! These will be great with summer dresses or for hiking through the creek!

I usually wear a 9 1/2 wide. Ordered the 9 wide and they are a perfect fit. The 10's would have been huge.

Bought these for my husband for when we go kayaking and hiking. He's getting used to them, likes the look and fit and loves the fact they can be washed thoroughly!

The strap around toe is awesome. Makes the sandal feel like a shoe around foot. But the straps are more attractive. It feels like the same durability as roof straps on car and the same cinch device. (Non ratchet)

A little rough on the feet till you get used to them. Not perfect right away. Need a little breaking in; more than I was expecting. The toe strap keeps the on your feel and less susceptible to catching on things since there is no sag.

I love the cloud option to the Chaco line! The classic series are a little rough on my soles. I still wear my classics....However, I do love my clouds a bit more.

Was expecting the Cloud version to feel more cushy. Didn't find much difference in softness between Cloud and Classic. I don't have flat feet but the arch was a bit much and wasn't able to adjust to the hump. Not sure why this would be good for flat feet - it seems the hump would be an intrusion on the foot bed and not offer any comfort. Returned for the classic Tevas!
