Almost immediately fell apart. Within a week the glue holding the white edge failed and caused the shoe to begin separating. I am not sure what’s going on but I have been really struggling with the quality of shoes I have been ordering from Zappos recently. I will be returning!

I ordered black and received grey. Someone needs to be talked to, or be fired.

Looked good, but the outer canvas material started to fray within three months, leaving holes in the top of the shoe. Unwearable now.

I was not happy with these shoes. The sole because unglued after literally wearing them two times. The quality is highly disappointing.

I really liked these shoes when they arrived, but after a month of moderate wear they are already falling apart. The rubber is separating from the shoe, thread is coming off of the side, and the back tab is ripping. Very disappointed with these shoes.

I purchased these shoes about nine mos ago. I wore the shoes strictly for professional events. I wore them no more than 2 times a week, for no more than 4 hrs at a time. That is 288 hrs, or 36, 8 hr work days of total wear time & I am being generous. These would essentially have been my work shoes for less than 1.5 mos and they are falling apart. I significantly limited my wear of the shoes in order to maximize their style and their longevity & with that moderate wear pattern, the fabric of the heel began to disassociate from the outer sole. I contacted Zappos via live chat, and was told that defects are typically recognized a few days to a few weeks from the purchase date, and that normal wear and tear starts soon after that. I feel that this timeframe, that I am assuming is provided sometime during the Zappos corporate customer service training, is absolutely impractical. The same timeframe would apply both to the purchase of Alexander McQueen Steel Capped Combat Boot for $2,280 (the most expensive item on Zappos' website), and Kenneth Cole Reaction Screen Slide B for $13.48 (the least expensive shoe on Zappos' website). The same timeframe applies to both the Calvin Klein Bernard (which is a shoe to be worn with tuxedos) and the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 7 (which is the most expensive running shoe). The time that has passed from the time of purchase should not predicate any type return or exchange policy, as it is completely erroneous in regards to the quality of the product, without taking into consideration the wear pattern of that product. If I wear my tuxedo shoes once a year for a 4 hour wedding, I would certainly expect them to last well over a few days to a couple of weeks before typical "wear and tear" would become evident on those tuxedo shoes. However, if I am running 15 miles a day in my running shoes, I should absolutely expect to see "wear and tear" beginning at the 2 week to one month timeframe. Now, I will say, that in the end, they sent me a replacement pair, and if it weren't for the fabric separating from the instep of the outer sole on the replacement pair before ever wearing, I would be very pleased and would have probably ignored the ridiculous return/exchange timeframe. But, I have to send these back and repurchase the original shoe via the website, while utilizing a provided redemption code from the 2nd customer service rep, this time without having to explain the fact that I had not worn the shoes past their expected wear point before defects begin to appear. I will give this third pair a shot, but I would really like to see Zappos address the appropriate questions from the customer service reps that should be asked, after checking on the original purchase date. To treat all of your products the same regardless of price, and/or expected/intended use is not being truthful and, I feel that the lowest quality standards are set for the policy, which is not standing behind the other more aggressively priced products you sell very well. Very frustrated with Zappos after being longtime customer of 10 years, with 9 purchases in the last 12 months. May be time to start looking for a company that stands more strongly behind their products, while not using the worst quality standards as a benchmark for every one of their products.
