About Reef
Reef sandals were born from the surf, sand, and the minds of two brothers from Argentina, Fernando and Santiago Aguerre. Fueled by their passion for surfing, and armed with a unique entrepreneurial spirit, the brothers acted on an idea to create a high quality, active lifestyle sandal. The two brothers founded Reef in La Jolla, California, and with $4,000 working capital, some hard work, dedication and some savvy marketing ideas, the brothers built Reef into a respected core surf brand by creating some of the best Reef sandals in the business.
The now internationally recognized company has always blended the cool and casual attitude of the beach with a commitment to nurturing the lifestyle that follows. I was really excited to purchase a pair of Reefs. My friend loves them. Disappointing. They felt narrow and were a full size smaller. The arch support is okay but not great. Of course I know if you want good arch support you need something more substantial than a flip flop. I was just hoping. They do offer better support than your run of the mill flip flop though. They are cute. I did not return this pair.
My daughter has a pair of these and loves them so I bought a pair and I love them too! They fit very well and comfortable and I can walk for them in hours.
These are great slippers (flip flops)! They do run small. So if you wear a size 9 in other Reef shoes you might want to order a size 10. We did and they fit great. We have ordered several other Reef slippers in a size 9 which fit perfectly but this type is just a little smaller. We had to return the first pair we bought because they were small, but Zappos made that experience painless and crazy fast. (Best company out there!) This type is the most comfortable type of slipper Reef makes.
These are incredibly comfortable and cute -- I get compliments on them all the time. Two complaints: I feel like the back of the shoe doesn't come up high enough (but I think I have really tall, knobby heels) and, as a result, they sag a little bit at the back and the fabric has gotten a bit scuffed/worn there. Again, I suspect this problem is unique to me though!
As usual, Reef didn't disappoint! Perfect for trying to grow up and make the switch from flip flops to sandals. Much more comfortable than so many sandals I've tried with flat leather soles (although note quite as comfortable as the staple black Reef EVA soles). Nice to have a little arch support. Perfect for looking a little more put together this summer!
This is the BEST shoe ever! It has a foam padding with a very high arch support. I can wear these flats all day and never have a back ache! I have also ordered the striped pair!
Bought these sandals for our last trip to Disneyland. I put them on and packed an extra pair of tennis just in case there hurt. I wore these sandals the entire 3 days and my feet were as happy as ever. No breaking in time, comfort for long wear. Walked on it all day and no issues. I bought the gray glittery ones, I am so buying a second pair.
From the first time I wore the Reef Arch they were very comfortable. I have not had a need to adjust the Arch but if I need the feature it is available.
Great flippies -- even sturdy in rain. A bit casual in style, but exactly what I was looking for and nice wedge and comfortable
Love these! I've had 4 pairs over the last 8 years because I wear them everywhere. These are a little different than the original butter but just as nice.
I have bought several pairs of this Reef flip flop. In lots of colors. I think they are a bit pricey, but I do wear them everyday and they are comfortable and do hold up to a lot of wear and tear. And I will buy more!

Always loved Reef's, and when my mew puppy chewed up my favorite pair, I began my search for a new pair. The Gingers are super comfy and cute. I've even gotten away with wearing them to work. And, having just the right amount of traction on the bottom helps, especially around the pool.
These shoes are very comfy. A nice alternative to a plain flip flop. The back strap has a little elastic, so they go on and off really easy. No blisters, either! Only wish would be for a little arch support, otherwise they are perfect.
I've had my Reef's for over 5 years and they are perfect, so comfortable I walk 5 miles a day in them.
Super comfy but runs small. If you normally wear a half size, get the next size up. Also, the strap seems a little longer between the toes than the strap on my old pair was.
I love my flip flops! You can never go wrong with Reef, but with Zappos I knew exactly what I was getting. They're flexible, comfortable, and the braided band is super soft for even more comfort. The size is true to fit, the color is stupendous, I've been wearing them even around the house they feel so good. Thinking about purchasing the black pair now.
It feels like it could be a comfortable slipper, but there weren't too many sizes and I was debating a 7 or 8, my shoe size varies from 6.5 - 7.5. I got the 7 and it hurts the arch of my foot if I wear it for too long.
Our family have been Reef loyalists for many many years. I recently purchased these for my 15 year old son who against his better judgment chose a newer, trendier brand of flip-flop last summer. He couldn't wait to slide these familiar babies on (which he's been wearing since he was 3 years old) because there truly is no better, more comfortable flip-flop on the market. They fit true to size, will literally last for years and are made new again after a machine washing which they endure beautifully. The most comfortable flip-flop ever!
I love this thong. I had never bought Reef's before and am so surprised how comfortable these are. I have been a die-hard Skecher's fan but these Reef's are now my go to shoes. Very comfortable and you can wear them all day long. I normally wear a 9.5 in most shoes (sometimes a 9 as my right foot is shorter) but I got a 10 in these and they are fine. If they came in half sizes a 9.5 would have been perfect. Love this shoe and going to buy more Reefs.
