Salomon

Bought these shoes to run trails, they are fantastic! Lightweight and quick to dry they are perfect for muddy hills and trails.

Stop the bus! Riotously conspicuous, anonymity denied, your neighbors will see you from 1/2 mile distance. I use the North Face Women's Ultra 50 for trail running and use the Salomon XR Mission for about town. Comfortable, true to fit (I just scaled down commensurately on size), these sneakers are out-of-the-box fantastic. All pros, no cons, except a side note to commit no transgressions while sporting these kicks; the bobbies will have you locked up in 5 minutes.

This is my first pair of Salomon's since their 'prototype' that they introduced in the late '90s. I returned that pair as the fit was too wide for my foot & the cord laces wouldn't tighten snugly enough as a result. While at a trail race last year, a Salomon rep convinced me that the design has come along way since they, so I gave them a 2nd chance. The fit is much improved & I love the comfort of the integrated tongue or sock fit! Downsides are that there are hot spots and I've blistered, even on short runs. The arch support is also a bit much for me even though I have a high arch. Unfortunately this pair has been relegated to being a flashy pair of street kicks for me.

The product is true to its description. I've been using it on a mix of trails and roads and it has given me good support on both.

Very comfortable good looking shoe, I have had several compliments. One major complaint, the shoe is terribly slippery on wet concrete walkways where I do the majority of my walking and for that I would never buy this shoe again.

In the search of the perfect trail running and adventure race shoe, I found it in this shoe. I ordered 11 1/2 and had to return for 12, but they are so good I bought a 2nd pair in another color. I broke mine in at a Go Ruck Challenge; 12 hours, 21 miles...good livin'.

I knew as soon as I put them on, I loved them. It is a great shoe, comfortable, lightweight and provides plenty of support on trail or road. For Salomon shoes I go by the EUR size. If you haven't bought Salomon's before, size down 1/2 size.

I have run 17 miles so far with these shoes and they are really great. I just hope they last for longer than a year, I guess we will see.

I love these shoes! They are easy on/off. They have a wide toe box, great traction, and dry quickly. I have very wide feet so my little toe gets slightly squished on a long run. They are totally worth the price. It seems like they will last, too.

These are great shoes, they keep your feet dry. This is my at least my seventh pair! They look great! Zappos ships on time every time. I have ordered over 20 pairs of shoes and am never disappointed!

Very comfortable, hugs the body and stays put. I'm a bit disappointed that regular round water bottles don't work better but that would mean giving up the body hugging nature of the pack. The compartments are small but would be sufficient for trail snacks, sun screen and a light jacket. I would like to have a bit more room.

Great shoe on the trails! Don't rely on these for asphalt...too stiff. Contrary to what others said, the arch support is not sufficient if you have high arches. There is also very poor heel support and as a result of running on a treadmill, putting full confidence in the shoes ability, I pulled the plantar fascia and have been recovering ever since...I now have high arched insoles and heel wedge to make these work...much better! Just be careful..more money does not mean a better shoe...it means more potential for injury.

I love my Salomons, I wouldn't run in anything else. My favorite thing about Salomons is that they keep the footbed consistent. I have been running in these for almost 10 years, I can comfortably run in them right out of the box.

I love these shoes! I purchased the Salomon Gecko shoes namely to slip on after a trail run and for casual use. They look sharp, have a great tread, they fit true to size and are very comfortable to wear. I enjoy the quick lacing system and the sockliner has a snug fit when you put your foot in the shoe. The only thing I was concerned about in the first few times of wearing them without a sock was that it rubbed the back of my ankle a bit much. After wearing it more I do not experience that anymore. I also like the drain vents on the shoes for water and to keep your feet cool. I am very happy with Salomon!

Very soft shoe, very light weight and the tread on the bottom is true for trail walking or running. Love the shoe.I bought the shoe for my partner and looks hot on. :X

Absolutely loved this shoe. Bought them for a Hawaii trip and abused them over multiple 5 hour + hikes, they were super comfortable & stable.

Really like this shoe but found it for 103.00 at Back Country and free two day shipping. Called Zappos and asked if would match the price. No- so back they went and I ordered from Back Country.

I love this shoe! It is maybe a little larger than true to size, but not by 1/2 size. I have a wide foot and it is very comfortable. My new go-to hiking shoe.

I purchased these in men's size 8.5 because they do not make a women's wide 10, and they fit perfectly! I wore them when I ran the 'Tough Mudder' at Mt. Snow yesterday and I loved every step in them! The sole is very supportive, and the toe box is wide enough for my foot. The material is not the typical mesh you see in trail shoes, so I was worried about mud and water retention, but it really was not an issue. The tread provided great traction running down muddy slopes and hiking up slippery rocks. The lacing system simply cannot be beat! These shoes stayed right in place no matter how deep the mud was! I will say that these shoes are very warm and might provide too much warmth for a summer hike, but that is due to the material as mentioned before. Overall, these shoes are great!

Perfect out of the box. Salomon was recommended for their fit and weight...it was a great recommendation. Usually I size up 1/2 for trail or hiking shoes...I did not with these and am glad. True to size. Comfortable and a unique to brand lacing system. So far so good. I've used them for about 20 miles of hiking so they are very new but no issues...comfortable and waterproof! Suggestion...they could work on more feminine designs.
