About Sanuk
Sanuk has been around since July, 1997 when Jeff Kelley started making sandals out of inner tubes and indoor-outdoor carpet. 1998 marked Sanuk's first full year of operations. While they've progressed into semi-proper footwear company (uh-oh), Jeff's spirit of innovation still serves as the backbone of their little brand. Today, Sanuk strives to make products that are as much about funk as they are about function. They've found that sandals are happiest when they tread the road less traveled – so Sanuk has design 'em accordingly.
Because "Sanük" is the Thai word for happiness and balance, their name is also their mantra. Sanuk's goal is to provide creatively inspired yet thoughtfully designed products for the global outdoor community... mostly because we're all a part of it.
Headquartered in Southern California, Sanuk is an eclectic little family hailing from Santa Cruz, Seattle, Cardiff by the Sea, the Philippines, Colombia, Hong Kong, and even Papua New Guinea. These flip flops are amazing! The second you put them on, you feel as if you had owned them forever. No time getting used to the piece between the toes. Really feels as if you are walking on a gym mat. I wear a 6 1/2 and took a 6. great shoe. I even bought one for my husband (in a different color!) and he has never worn flip flops in his life, and he loves them.
Living in a beach resort, where flip-flops are the preferred footwear, I couldn't purchase a pair that made me look like a tourist, and the "Fraid Nots" not only the perfect fit size-wise, but provide the perfect "gnarly" look for a local surf bum.
Well, I'm no sandal expert but so far so good. My actual foot length is a tad over 11 but size 11 fits perfect. They look great and are very comfortable. I have very narrow feet and some sandals don't fit snug enough or are to wide looking on my feet but these fit and look great. Only downside I would mention at all is the fabric on the top sole will get dirty easily but this is expected. Love them so far.
Pillows for my feet! Super soft and I could walk all day in these. Perfect for my casual summer outfits. Get a pair!
I love my Sanuks! I first discovered these at a local surf shop. These are the perfect summer sneaker/shoe/sandal. The soles are yoga mats. Comfy, cool on the feet and the print reminds me of the beach. 1 word of caution: each shoe is unique! My first pair didn't even look like a pair. I called Sanuk and they said it's because each shoe is cut from patterned fabric, so your shoe pattern will change depending on where they cut the fabric. You might want to order 2 pairs to be safe and then return whichever you like least. Once you find your match, you will love them!
Bought these for my husband and they were too short (order one size up). I returned them and ordered another size. He loves them. They are super comfortable. Zappos was fantastic. The return and replacement all took place in a week. Great service, great place.
Very comfortable but my foot does slide a little to the front so I can feel my toes at the very edge which I am hoping doesn't get worse the more I wear them. Nice color and I like the heel since I am only 5'2"!
I love these flip flops! They are true to size, super comfortable & the bronze color is nicer than plain brown. I can walk all day at the zoo, a museum or whereever & my feet don't get tired. Worth the $32!
This is by far the most comfortable flip flop my feet have ever worn. I am 9 months pregnant and have been living in them. So happy I spent a little extra and bought this shoe.
Loved the look of these, but when I walked, the heel made a slapping sound. Because of this, I need to return them.
Wow, these sandals are so comfortable! I'm usually a size 7 1/2 and the size 8 fit great!
Item is nicer on the internet than in person. The back straps did not stay up, so I will be returning them. Not worth the price!
Great shoes, perfect for summer, but they run large and don't have half sizes, so they can tend to slip off in the back...
I am 70yrs old and never owned 4 pair of the same shoe at one time, but I do with the Sanuk. Next to bare feet this is better. I have turned on at least 5 people. Unbelievable comfortable.
Love these shoes. So comfy. Bought for myself (46) and my two daughters (16 and 10). It seems to be the only shoe that crosses this generation gap. One of the reasons I like them is that I have a bunion and after a day of wearing them, they completely stretch to fit your foot. The only thing I would say is there is really no arch support. Great for knocking around...but not for any serious walking.
I wear between a 6½ and 7. The shoes have no extra room in them but I am guessing they will stretch a bit and then they will be a perfect fit. They are super comfortable and a very cute style. I love them!
Love these flip flops! Very comforatable and seem durable. Bought my Mom a pair because I liked mine so much.
This shoe can be dressed up or down. I wore it to a ballet and I wear it with jeans. The fit is somewhat smaller as the other reviews said...so I did order a half size up. However, they are stretching a bit, so I probably could have ordered a full size down and these shoes would still be fine. Either way, I love the shoe. I have many black flats but they are not as comfortable as these. Only one little sequin has fallen off...so that is really not a problem. Would love to have them in some sort of blue shade.
Aahhhh. This is what it is like slipping into these flip flops. I am 20 weeks pregnant and these feel heavenly on my feet. Don't think I am going to wear any other shoes this summer. Don't need to...these are perfection!
My husband loves these sandals, not shoes. They are very lightweight and extremely comfortable. Very cool.
These shoes/sandals are fantastic. I have a relatively wide foot and order a half size up in any shoe with a medium width. With that, I ordered these in a size 12 and they fit perfectly. If you're like me and want some casual shoes for the office and the beach then these are exceptional. They're extremely comfortable. I am very impressed with this brand and will definitely order Sanuk shoes in other styles.
