Spira Reviews
Not as comfortable as the Spira classic walker -- footbed is stiffer. Toe box is larger than it looks in photo. Even though I was somewhat disappointed, I still kept them but will order the classic next time.
I have been wearing these shoes for 7+ years...I have arthritis and feel 30 years younger when I wear them...I wear them everywhere except to weddings! I wear them with Khakis and jeans a lot. I've had ankle/arthritis problems and with these I can walk up to about 2 1/2 miles a day...I like these better than the Genesis shoes (the next price up) because these are lighter weight and easier on my ankles...and more flexible. I'm 59 and I just don't buy extra clothes I don't need...instead I spend the money on these and I enjoy my whole life more!
I really love these shoes. I put them on and they were perfect right out of the box. Good enough arch and heel support that I do not need my orthotics with them. I will definitely buy more. I did buy a half size larger than usual and am glad I did. The toe bed is marvelously wide, which means that I do not need a W width. The shoe does not slide around at all, love them.
I love this shoe! So comfortable with my bunion. I would buy it again. On my feet all day and never feel any discomfort in my feet. Great shoe!
I have worn this shoe for a long time. I have heel spurs and this shoe is very comfortable. It is durable and it looks nice.
This is the worst pair of shoes that I have ever worn, by a long shot. The spring made springy noises within the first two weeks and they were horribly uncomfortable. I ended up pitching them, I was so disappointed. They definitely were not worth the money.
Shoes run wide, a half size small, very thin tongue. The ride is very cushioned. Bought shoes for my long runs due to the spring technology, but due to fit and comfort, will only be using these for my 5-6 milers and recovery runs.
I tried out these shoes at the Disney marathon and was really impressed. They are super comfortable with the springs, though I have not run in them yet. I bought them for clinic since I am on my feet all day long previously in Crocs and my back was hurting. They are a little pricey, but very comfortable!
Great walking shoe; Have ordered this shoe several times. Wish it came in narrow. Decided to try New Balance shoe that comes in narrow, but the arch support and fit on Spira is actually better. Will reorder Spira next time.
I run 10 or 15 marathons per year. Seriously, theses shoes are the best I have personally used. They feel light compared to my Ascis and extremely responsive. My feet do not feel as tired and sore after 26.2 as they had with other brands. They do run a bit small and narrow, but not much. I will be buying these again, as I go through 4 or more shoes each year.
This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I love the fit. The top of my feet are in pain most of the time and these shoes have helped tremendously. I would recommend this shoes to anyone who wants to be comfortable. I did get it half a size smaller like they recommended and this worked for me. Very happy with my purchase. Well worth the price.
This is a very nice shoe. Fit is excellent and looks good. I bought it because of other reviews as to comfort working on your feet all day, this was a mistake. I have heel spurs and bought the shoe for this sole reason; big mistake. These are nowhere near as comfortable as my Skechers Shape-ups Works. I'm not disappointed with the shoe overall, just this aspect. Don't buy it if you want it as a work shoe, especially on concrete floors.
I bought these for Zumba. I use orthotics yet my knees still hurt, due to pronating inward (flat feet). I had hoped for smooth pivoting to prevent knee injury, but didn't get it. They were also too narrow.
The joint on my big toe is fused. It is very painful to walk without these shoes - no pain at all with these shoes. The tiny springs in the sole make all the difference - could not do without them.
These shoes are extremely comfortable. I work 12 hour shifts and my feet feel great at the end of the day. They are true to size (I have wide feet) and require no break-in period.
In the brief time I have owned these I now understand something. At first they are great because they are wide and fit well, but soon thereafter, the poor quality material composition surfaces. Inside, the cloth lining has already deteriorated and let the stuffing come out. And the first to go was the poorly bonded sole curling up on the toe. The sole separated and I had to glue and clamp the sole back down. At these prices I will NOT buy them again.
I love this shoe. It is very comfortable. I also love how fast you get your order from Zappos. They are very good.
This shoe caused me to have a bad fall in my home. I am badly bruised and really have suffered.
This is a well-fitting shoe. I've got size 12 feet which are narrow-to-medium in width, and the width on these is great. The sole does energize your step and is comfortable right from the start. I do wish the tongue was just a touch longer, it doesn't slip down, but it just barely comes above the lace area.
