Tsukihoshi Kids Reviews

My daughter had Tsukihoshi sneakers as her first pair of shoes. They lasted a long time, were durable, and comfortable. We tried other brands over the years, but they wore out quickly. We've gone back to Tsukihoshi, and these sneakers are wonderful. They are extremely lightweight, machine washable, durable, and comfortable. Zappos shipped them with lightning speed, as usual. I highly recommend Tsukihoshi sneakers...and Zappos!
I love the Tsukihoshi brand for my 3-year-old daughter with wide feet. However, The Mirage is on a slimmer profile last, making this a narrow silhouette in their normally wider base line. The Mirage is a great style, but definitely order up from your usual Tsukihoshi size.
Be careful. I love Tsukihoshis. I ordered a 12 because my son currently has another pair of Tsukihoshs that I in the same size. The 12 in this style is huge. I have no idea if they are mismarked or what. I have to return them.
In my mid-40's now, I have spent my entire adult life with kid sized 2 feet. When people see this, they almost always mention that I'm lucky because I can buy cheaper shoes in the kids department. What they don't realize is that many times those shoes offer no arch support, are poorly made, are decorated with "Strawberry Shortcake" on them or kid like color combinations, or silly environmentally damaging blinking lights in the heels, etc. In short, most kid sized shoes are made for kids. I have a plethora of kid sized 'tennis shoes/sneakers' in my closet, none of them comfortable, none of them allowing my feet to breathe. That said, I am not a big shopper for shoes and I had never heard of the Tsukihoshi brand until I absolutely needed to find a pair or work out shoes and logged in at Zappos. After reading the reader reviews I thought I would give them a try, free shipping both ways to try them on was a great deal. Marvelous discovery! They fit like they should, are comfortable, look adult like enough, and clean up like a charm. I'm hooked! The size 2 fit perfectly, I like the colors, I don't mind the velcro so much because the fake laces are there (granted, if you are used to cinching up your laces for a tighter fit, this shoe will not do that), they let my feet breathe. They are also very lightweight. This shoe is a winner!
These shoes are amazing. They are super light and comfortable. The pink lime is a beautiful spring color but will also look nice in the winter. Fits true to size. My 4-year-old girl loves them.

Tsukihoshi sneakers are not ultra-durable, but I am a devotee anyway. They have a 6 month lifetime if they are worn daily, which is not okay for adult shoes, but fine for kids, whose shoes need to be replaced almost that often for sizing or filth alone! For ease of wear, their shoes get 10 stars - super lightweight, washable, easy on/off, even for my seriously uncoordinated, occupational therapy-receiving, gigantic orthotic-wearing pre-schoolers! They are flexible and comfortable from day 1 and I love how the tongue can't get stuck inside the shoe! My 7 year old son loved these and wore them 7 days a week for 6 months straight. They are a total mess, but I am neither surprised nor disappointed. He got a ton of wear out of them and he needs a new size anyway! He wants me to get them again and I am happy to.
These shoes are amazing!! 4 months later they still look brand new!! My 7 year old destroys ANY kind of shoes in one month, I will definetly be getting another pair soon!!
Best yet design wise and comfort wise. Blue really pops and my picky son really loves them. Super easy to put on and take off. Machine washable, breathable, super flexible and comfy.
Fantastic kid shoe! Bought two pairs, one for 3 year old girl, one for 5 year old boy. They love 'em and so do I. Easy on, easy off, washable. Definitely recommend them.
We love these shoes! This is the first time we ordered Tsukihoshi shoes and my 4 year old daughter wore them for almost 9 months! They are comfortable, flexible and only started to show wear and tear recently. They are unique and well made. We have just ordered a new design of Tsukihoshi for her next pair!
Shoes are exactly what I expected. Haven't had them for very long but so far no complaints. I have been recommending them to friends.
What a disappointment! When I opened the box, I was surprised by how lightweight and unsubstantial these shoes were. Sure enough, after a few weeks they looked like shoes purchased at Walmart for a few dollars. Back to Nike! Or maybe I'll try Lelli Kelly or Stride Rite next.

I was thoroughly disappointed with these shoes. I ordered these shoes based on the excellent reviews but after one week the shoes began to come apart. The bottom has detached and the tongue is shredded. I also bought a pair for my daughter-after three weeks she can no longer wear them. The bottom is coming apart and she has tripped several times from it. I will never buy another Tsukihoshi shoe and will stick to Geox.
My son (age 3.5) loves this shoe! He can put them on himself, and they clean up beautifully in the wash.
Another happy parent and kid. My daughter has never chosen to wear the same shoe day after day but does with these so they must be the most comfortable yet. This was our first time with Tsukihoshi. She picked the silver and pink. She measures an 11 but I kept the 11.5 because I wanted room to grow. They are bigger than her foot but she doesn't trip. So I would say this style is true to size. Since she does wear every day I should have kept the 11s because they will probably be worn out by the time she needs the bigger size. I don't think they look brand new after washing but they wash easily and dry fast. I will definitely order another pair when these are done.
Great lightweight shoe. We are using it for a school shoe now but will see how durable it is when school is out! It washes well. We wash them twice a week at times as his school playground is dusty. My 7 yr old son loves them and the fact that they are a Japanese brand. He says Genga (Bayblades) would wear them. He has sensory issues and is very picky about shoes/socks. This shoe has allowed us to get out the door on time every morning since we got it. That is well worth the cost!
