About Vans

Offering the largest shoe collection in the industry for nearly 50 years, Vans has inspired generations of skateboarders to grab air and fly. As extreme sports continue to evolve so does their sought after style.  From collaborations with Disney®, to putting together the nation’s leading action sports and music festival; they’ve held their place as innovators.

In 1975, the Vans Era™ was designed by professional skateboarders Tony Alva and Stacey Peralta to be a top choice in footwear because of its colorful canvas uppers and stellar grip. Emerging trends brought us the Vans Classics Slip-On™, Sk8-HI™ and Chukka Boots, which cemented the idea that their brand would leave its mark on pop culture and the world.

Expanding these elements into performance gear for BMX, snowboarding, surfing and motocross, just to name a few; they have created edgy apparel and accessories rich with technology and fashion. Quality jackets, soft tees and flowy dresses, set Vans apart from the competition.

Threading together their enthusiasm for creating fresh new styles at the heart of youth culture made for men, women and kids; Vans promotes individuality and motivates us to define who we are and where we want to be.

Nice casual shoe! I've got the murdered out pair, I don't really skate so I can't give a review from that perspective. I just buy vans skate shoes for their looks, materials and they're the only line that predominantly has HD cush tech. The lateral arc of the shoe is rather steep but it hasn't caused me any problems. I get these were designed for skaters by a skater but for casual wear the HD insoles are too thin. It's not a deal breaker it's just all my other vans have a thicker insole which creates a softer feel. Overall I love suede, I love the silhouette, I love all black and even though they're not as soft as I'd like they're still comfortable.

These are classic shoes that look really cool. I got them for my thirteen-year-old son for a second time (he grew out of the first pair.) They look great with jeans and also work with a suit if needed for a dressy occasion. They are easy to slip on and are quite comfortable.

Classic style similar to the Authentic or the Era, but far more comfortable due to the removable Ultracush insole. Seems to run just slightly wider than other Vans. Highly recommended.
